1 CHILD of sin and sorrow, Filled with dismay, Wait not for to-morrow, Yield thee to-day :
Heaven bids thee come,
While yet there's room; Child of sin and sorrow, Hear and obey.
2 Child of sin and sorrow, Why wilt thou die?
Come while thou canst borrow
Help from on high; Grieve not that love Which from above, Child of sin and sorrow, Would bring thee nigh.
3 Child of sin and sorrow, Thy moments glide, Like the flitting arrow, Or the rushing tide. Ere time is o'er, Heaven's grace implore; Child of sin and sorrow, In Christ confide.
2 Tempt not my soul away, Jesus is mine!
Here would I ever stay, Jesus is mine!
Perishing things of clay, Born but for one brief day, Pass from my heart away, Jesus is mine!
1 COME, ye weary, heavy-laden, Bruised and mangled by the fall; If you tarry till you're better, You will never come at all: Not the righteous, Sinners, Jesus came to call. 2 Agonizing in the garden,
Your Redeemer prostrate lies; On the bloody tree behold Him, Hear Him cry, before He dies, It is finished!
Sinners, will not this suffice?
3 Lo, the incarnate God ascending, Pleads the merit of His blood: Venture on Him, venture wholly ; Let no other trust intrude: None but Jesus
Can do helpless sinners good.
4 Saints and angels joined in concert. Sing the praises of the Lamb, While the blissful seats of heaven Sweetly echo with His name : Hallelujah!
Sinners here may sing the same.
1 COME, ye sinners, poor and wretched, Weak and wounded, sick and sore; Jesus ready stands to save you, Full of pity joined with power. He is able,
He is willing: doubt no more.
2 Ho, ye needy, come, and welcome: God's free bounty glorify: True belief and true repentance, Every grace that brings us nigh, Without money,
Come to Jesus Christ, and buy.
3 Let not conscience make you linger, Nor of fitness fondly dream; All the fitness He requireth, Is to feel your need of Him: This He gives you;
'Tis the Spirit's rising beam.
1 COME, sinners, to the gospel feast; Let every soul be Jesus' guest; Ye need not one be left behind, For God hath bidden all mankind.
2 Sent by my Lord, on you I call: The invitation is to all:
Come all the world! come, sinner, thou! All things in Christ are ready now.
3 Come, all ye souls by sin oppressed, Ye restless wanderers after rest; Ye poor, and maimed, and balt, and blind, In Christ a hearty welcome find.
4 My message as from God receive; Ye all may come to Christ and live: O let His love your hearts constrain, Nor suffer Him to die in vain.
5 His love is mighty to compel : His conquering love consent to feel: Yield to His love's resistless power, And fight against your God no more!
1 GOD calling yet! shall I not hear? Earth's pleasures shall I still hold dear? Shall life's swift passing years all fly, And still my soul in slumbers lie?
2 God calling yet! shall I not rise? Can I His loving voice despise. And basely His kind care repay? He calls me still; can I delay?
3 God calling yet! and shall He knock, And I my heart the closer lock? He still is waiting to receive, And shall I dare His Spirit grieve?
4 God calling yet! and shall I give No heed, but still in bondage live? I wait, but He does not forsake; He calls me still; my heart, awake! 5 God calling yet! I cannot stay; My heart I yield without delay: Vain world, farewell; from thee I part; The voice of God hath reached my heart.
1 He who, a little child, began
The life divine to show to man, Proclaims from heaven the message free, "Let little children come to Me."
2 We bring them, Lord, and with the sign Of sprinkled water, name them Thine: Their souls with saving grace endow, Baptize thein with Thy Spirit now !
3 O give Thine angels charge, good Lord, Them safely in Thy way to guard; Thy blessing on their lives comraand, And write their names upon Thy hand!
