1 THE Lord my pasture shall prepare,
And feed me with a shepherd's care;
His presence shall my wants supply,
And guard me with a watchful eye;
My noonday walks He shall attend,
And all my midnight hours defend.

2 When in the sultry glebe I faint,
Or on the thirsty mountain pant,
To fertile vales and dewy meads
My weary, wandering steps he leads,
Where peaceful rivers, soft and slow,
Amid the verdant landscape flow.

? Though in the paths of death I tread,
With gloomy horrors overspread,
My steadfast heart shall fear no ill,
For Thou, O Lord, art with me still;
Thy friendly rod shall give me aid,
And guide me through the dreadful
shade.

1 CREATOR-SPIRIT, by whose aid
The world's foundations first were laid,
Come, visit every pious mind;
Come, pour Thy joys on human kind;
From sin and sorrow set us free,
And make Thy temples worthy Thee.
2 O Source of uncreated light!
The Father's promised Paraclete!
Thrice Holy Fount! Thrice Holy Fire!
Our hearts with heavenly love inspire!
Come, and Thy sacred unction bring
To sanctify us while we sing.

3 Immortal honor, endless fame
Attend the Almighty Father's name!
The Saviour-Son be glorified,
Who for lost man's redemption died!
And equal adoration be,
Eternal Paraclete, to Thee!

1 JESUS, Thy boundless love to me
No thought can reach, no tongue de-
clare;

O knit my thankful heart to Thee,
And reign without a rival there;
Thine wholly, Thine alone, I am,
Be Thou alone my constant flame!

2 O Love, how cheering is Thy ray! All pain before Thy presence flies; Care, anguish, sorrow melt away Where'er Thy healing beams arise; O Jesus, nothing may I see, Nothing desire or seek but Thee!

3 In suffering be Thy love my peace;
In weakness be Thy love my power;
And when the storms of life shall cease,
Jesus, in that important hour,
In death, as life, be Thou my Guide,
And save me, Who for me hast died.

1 COME, Holy Ghost, all-quickening fire,
Come, and in me delight to rest;
Grant the supplies that I require;
O come, and consecrate my breast,
The temple of my soul prepare,
And fix Thy sacred presence there.

2 My peace, my life, my comfort Thou,
My treasure and my all Thou art;
True Witness of my sonship now,
Engraving Christ upon my heart,
Seal of my sins in Him forgiven,
Earnest of love, and pledge of heaven..

1 WHEN gathering clouds around I view,
And days are dark, and friends are few,
On Him I lean who, not in vain,
Experienced every human pain;
He sees my wants, allays my fears,
And counts and treasures up my tears.

2 If aught should tempt my soul to stray
From heavenly virtue's narrow way;
To fly the good I would pursue,
Or do the sin I would not do;
Still He, who felt temptation's power,
Shall guard me in that dangerous hour.

3 And, O! when I have safely past

Through every conflict but the last, Still, still unchanging, watch beside My painful bed, for Thou hast died! Then point to realms of cloudless day. And wipe my latest tear away.
