eat this bread, and drink this cup of the Lord, unworthily, shall be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord. But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of that bread, and drink of that cup. For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh damnation to himself, not discerning the Lord's body.
Walk in love. The Lord make you to in- , crease and abound in love one towards another, and towards all men, even as we do towards you.
Beloved, let us love one another : for love is of God ; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. He that loveth not knoweth tot God; for God is love. In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him. Herein is love, not that we loved God, hut that he loved us, *nd scut his Son to be the propitiation for our *i"*. Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another.
If we love one another, God dwo'leth in us, *"d his love is perfected in us. He that dwcl*t!i in love dweileth in God, and God in him. t 't a man sav. I love God, and hathcth his *nither, he is a liar: fiir he that loveth not'his aj'ofhcr, whom he hath seen, how can he rove G'ji!, vho'.ii Ire hath not seen?
This is io\o. that we walk after his command.
By love serve one another. Let love be without dissimulation. Love covereth all sins.
The Lord God formed mail of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life : and man became a living soul. And the Lord God said, it is not good that the man should be alone : I will make him an help meet for him. And the Lord God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof. Jesus said unto them: What did Moses command you? And they said, Moses suffered te write a bill of divorcement, and to put her away. And Jesus answered and said unto them. For the hardness of your heart he wrote you thi* precept: but from the beginning of the treaties God made them male and female. For thi* cause shall a man leave his father and moihcc and cleave to his wife: and they twain shall hf one flesh: so then they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let no man put asunder.
Marriage is honourable in all.
Put them in mind to be gentle, shewing all meekness unto all men.
Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.
The ornament of a meek and quiet spirit is in the sight of God of great price.
Seek ye the Lord all ye meek of the earth, which have wrought his judgment, seek righteousness, seek meekness.
Good and upright is the Lord. The meek will he guide m judgment: and the meek will lie teach his way.
The Lord hath anointed mc to preach good tidings unto the meek.
The Lord lifteth up the meek. The meek shall increase their joy in the Lord. He will beautify the meek with salvation.
The meek shall eat and be satisfied. The meek shall delight themselves in the abundance
'Who is a wise rnan and endued with knowledge among you ? let him shewout of a good conversation his works with meekness of wisdom.
Be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that
Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy.
is in you, with meekness and fear.
Keep mercy. By mercy and truth iniquity is purged. Break oft' thine iniquities by shewing mercy. He that followeth after righteousness and mercy, findeth life, righteousness, and honour.
Be ye merciful, as your Father also is merciful. He delighteth in mercy. It is of the Lord's mercies that we are not consumed.
The Lord hath a controversy with the inhabitants of the land, because there is no truth, nor mercy.
Shew mercy and compassions every man to his brother.
Be ye all of one mind, having compassion one of another.
He shall have judgment without mercy, that hath shewed no mercy.
Let there be none to extend mercy unto him, because that he remembered not to shew mercy.

MIRACLES OF OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST.*
There was a marriage in Cana of Galilee : and the mother of Jesus was there; and both Jesus was called, and his disciples to the marriage. And when they wanted wine, the mother of Jesus saith unto him, They have no wine. Jesus saith unto them, Fill the water-pots with water. And they filled them up to the brim. And he saith unto thein, Draw out now, and bear unto the governor of the feast. And they bare it. The ruler of the feast tasted the water that was made wine, and knew not whence it was, but the servants, which drew the water knew. This beginning of miracles did Jesus in Cana of Galilee, and manifested forth his glory; and his disciples believed on him.
The nobleman, whose son was sick at Capernaum, saith unto him, Sir, come down ere my child die. Jesus saith unto him, Go thy way; thy son liveth. And the man believed the word thatTJesus had spoken unto him, and he went his way. And as he was now going down, his servants met him, and told him, saying, Thy son liveth. This is the second miracle that Jesus did, when he was come out of Judea into Galilee.
A certain man was there, (at Jerusalem, by the pool of Bethesda) which had an infirmity, thirty and eight years. When Jesus saw him lie, and knew that he had been now a long time in that case, he saith unto him, wilt thou be made whole ? The impotent man answered him, Sir, I have no man, when the water is troubled, to
