Single Maps of the World about this date, shewing the continent of America, are exceedingly curious and of the greatest rarity. This map exhibits North America under the name of Nova Hispania, making with Asia one vast connected country: In the South, Tierra del Fuego is represented as an immense antarctic continent. Several chains of mountains, rivers, numerous towns, etc. of America are marked and named; as well as much other interesting information shewing the state of geographical knowledge at the period. The figure of the world is a parallelogram with elliptical sides; on the top is simply Universale,' Orbis' no doubt being cut off, and at the bottom is 'Giacomo Cosmographo. in Venetia. MDXXxxvi.'
