To make the Father's counfels known; Declares the great tranfaction's past,

And brings immortal bleffings down.

123.

THOU dear Redeemer, dying Lamb,

We love to hear of thee:

No mufic like thy lovely name
Does found fo fweet to me :

O may we ever hear thy voice
In mercy to us fpeak! ·
And in our Prieft will we rejoice,
Thou great Melchifedec!

Our Jefus fhall be still our theme,
While in this world we stay;
We'll fing our Jefu's lovely name
When all things elfe decay:
When we appear in yonder cloud,

With all his favour'd throng,

Then will we fing more sweet, more loud, And Jefus be our fong.

TO him who fits upon the throne

We lift our heart, we lift our voice:
For Chrift, the Lord, is God alone,
And in his love will we rejoice.

2 His fov'reign pow'r, without our aid,
Form'd us of clay, and made us men ;
And when, like wand'ring sheep, we fray'd,
He brought us to his fold again.

3

We'll crowd thy gates with thankful fongs,
High as the heav'ns our voices raise;
And, join'd with thousand thousand tongues,
We'll fill thy courts with founding praise.

4 Wide as the world is thy command;
Vaft as eternity thy love;

Firm as a rock thy truth must stand,
When rolling years shall cease to move,

125.

1 HOW glorious the Lambis feen on his throne!

His labours are o'er; his battles are won.

A kingdom is given into the Lamb's hands;
His kingdom in heaven eternally stands.

2 Ye finners below, then, truft in the Lord; Look up to his arm, his honour, and word; Athirst for his favour, his Godhead adore; Look up to your Saviour, and joy evermore.

126.

PRAISE ye the Lord: the Lord is good; To praise his name is fweet employ:

His church is his peculiar joy.

2 Blefs ye the Lord, who tafte his love;
Exalt the deår Rédeemer's name:"

In all the faints his Spirit dwells;
His church is his Jerufalem.

127.

PRAISE the Lord, who reigns above,
And keeps his courts below;

Praise the mighty God of love,

And all his greatnefs fhew; Praife him for his noble deeds;

Praife him for his matchlefs pow'r. Him, from whom all good proceeds, Let earth and heav'n adore.

128.

1 SALVATION! O the joyful found!
What pleasure to our ear!

A fov'reign balm for ev'ry wound!
A cordial for our fear!
Bleffing, honour, &c.

2 Salvation, O thou bleeding Lamb!
To thee the praise belongs:
Salvation fhall inspire our hearts,
And dwell upon our tongues,
Bleffing, honour, &c.

129.

I SALVATION to God, who fits on the throne,
Let all cry aloud; and honour the Son:
Our Jefus's praises the angels proclaim;
Fall down on their faces, and worship the Lamb.

2 Then let us adore, and give him his right,
All glory and pow'r, and wisdom, and might;
All honour and bleffing with angels above;
And thanks never ceafing for infinite love.

130.

SALVATION's of God, th' effect of free grace,
Upon us beftow'd before the world was:
God from everlasting be bleft-and again—
Bleft to everlasting-Amen and amen.

LESSINGS for ever on the Lamb,

BLESSI

Who bore the curfe for wretched man:

Let angels found his facred name,

And ev'ry creature fay—Amen.

GLORIA PATRI, ET FILIO, ET SPIRITUI SANCTO.

132. BLEST be the Father for his love:

To this celeftial fource we owe

Rivers of endless joy above,

And rills of comfort here below.

2 Bleft be the Son, in whom we have
Redemption through his precious blood:

He died our guilty fouls to fave,
And bring us back in peace to God.
