Ah! who against thy charms is proof? Ah? who that loves can love enough?
Hymn 12. C. M.
LAS! and did my saviour bleed ? And did my Sovereign die ? Would he devote that sacred head For such a worm as I?
2 Was it for crimes that I have done, He groan'd upon the tree? Amazing pity! grace unknown ! And love beyond degree ! 3 Well might the sun in darkness hide, And shut his glories in; When Christ the mighty Maker died, For man the creature's sin?
4 Thus might I hide my blushing face, While his dear cross appears; Dissolve my heart in thankfulness, And melt mine eyes to tears.
5 But drops of grief can ne'er repay The debt of love I owe :
6 Wats han hon on gwa gah se ri, Ji yo ga ro wa nen; Sa ya ner wagi tenh the on, Ne wa ge wea na tha.

Hymn 13. L. M.
That my load of sin were gone! O that I could at last submit,
At JESUS' feet to lay it down! To lay my soul at JESUS' feet! 2 Rest for my soul I long to find : Saviour of all! if mine thou art, Give me thy meek and lowly mind, And stamp thine image on my heart.
3 Break off the yoke of inbred sin, And fully set my spirit free; I cannot rest till pure within,
Till I am wholly lost in thee.Y 4 Fain would I learn of thee, my God, Thy light and easy burden prove, The cross all stained with hallowed blood- The labour of thy dying love.
5 I would-but thou must give the power; My heart from every stain release; Bring near, bring near the joyful hour, And fill me with thy perfect peace. 6. Come, LORD! the drooping sinner cheer, Nor let thy chariot-wheels delay: Appear in my poor heart, appear- My GOD, MY SAVIOUR, come away!

Hymn 14. С. М.
OD moves in
a mysterious way,
His wonders to perform;S
He plants his footsteps in the sea, And rides upon the storm. 2 Deep in unfathomable mines Of never-failing skill, He treasures up his bright designs, And works his sovereign will.
3 Ye fearful saints, fresh courage take; The clouds ye so much dread Are big with mercy and shall break In blessings on your head. 4 Judge not the LORD by feeble sense, But trust him for his grace; Behind a frowning Providence He hides a smiling face. 5 His purposes will ripen fast, Unfolding every hour: The bud may have a bitter taste, But sweet will be the flower.
6 Blind unbelief is sure to err, And scan his work in vain : GOD is his own interpreter, And he will make it plain.
Hymn 15. С. М.
O! what an entertaining sight, Those friendly brethren prove,
