Prophets and kings desired it long,
But died without the sight!
The watchmen join their voice,
And tuneful notes employ;
Jerusalem breaks forth in songs,
And deserts learn the joy.
The LORD makes bare his arm
Through all the earth abroad:
Let every nation now behold
Their SAVIOUR and their GOD!

Hymn 18. L. M. log p

ESUS shall reign where'er the sun Does his successive journeys run: His kingdom spread from shore to shore, Till moons shall wax and wane no more. 2 From north to south the princes meet To pay their homage at his feet;

While western empires own their Lord, And savage tribes attend his word. 3 To Him shall endless prayer be made," And endless praises crown his head; His name, like sweet perfume, shall rise With every morning sacrifice.

Dwell on his love with sweetest song,
And infant voices shall proclaim
Their early blessings on his name.

Hymn 19. P. M.

LOW ye the

blow

trumpet,
The gladly solemn sound;

Let all the nations know,
To earth's remotest bound-

The year of Jubilee is come!
Return, ye ransom'd sinners, home.

2 JESUS, our great High Priest,
Hath full attonement made:
Ye weary spirits, rest;

Ye mournful souls, be glad―
The year of Jubilee is come!
Return, ye ransom'd sinners, home.

3 Extol the Lamb of GOD,

The all-atoning Lamb-
Redemption in his blood

Throughout the world proclaim-
The year of Jubilee is come!
Return, ye ransom'd sinners, home.

4 Ye slaves of sin and hell, Your liberty receive, And safe in JESUS dwell,

And blest in JESUS live

The year of Jubilee is come!
Return, ye ransom'd sinners, home.

5 Ye who have sold for nought
Your heritage above,

Shall have it back unbought,
The gift of JESUS' love-

The year of Jubilee is come!
Return, ye ransom'd sinners, home.

6 The Gospel-trumpet hear,

The news of heavenly grace;
And saved from earth, appear
Before your SAVIOURS face-
The year of Jubilee is come!
Return, ye ransom'd sinners, home.

Hymn 20. S. M.

ESUS, the conqueror, reigns,
In glorious strength array'd;

His kingdom over all maintains,
And bids the earth be glad.

2

Ye sons of men, rejoice

In JESUS' mighty love;

Lift up your heart, lift up your voice,
To him who rules above.
