If thou withdraw thyself from me,
Ah, whither shall I go? 2 What did thine only Son endure,
Before I drew my breath! What pain, what labour to secure
My soul from endless death! 3 O Jesus, could I this believe,
I now should feel thy power ; Now my poor soul thou wouldst retrieve,
Nor let me wait one hour. 4 Author of faith, to thee I lift
- My weary, longing eyes :
My soul without it dies.
O speak, and I shall live;
Till thou thy spirit give.
Could they but see thy face:
And taste thy pardoning grace ?
Hymn 4. S. M.
A God to glorify;
And fit it for the sky.
To serve the present age,
My calling to fulfil :
To do my Master's will. 2 Arm me with jealous care,
As in thy sight to live ;
A strict account to give !
And on thyself rely,
I shall for ever die.
Hymn 5. C. M. NYOME, let us who in Christ believe,
1 Our Common SAVIOUR praise : To him, with joyful voices, give
The glory of his grace.
Of every sinner's heart :
Or force him to depart. 3 Through grace we hearken to thy voice,
Yield to be saved from sin :
That thou wilt enter in. 4 Come quickly in thou heavenly guest!
Nor ever hence remove ;
