Blue Star in My WindowXulon Press, 2007 - 256 páginas This is just one story of one military family. We are nothing special, as you will see. But we are incredibly blessed by love for one another. We are proud of our young son, the job he does, and for the man he is becoming. We are thankful for the time we've had with him and the lessons of life we've learned from one another. This is our story of deployment and homecoming: two words that conjure up such a score of different emotions. The home team and the away team. We thank those who supported us during this time and will never forget the many kindnesses extended to our family and our beloved son, a United States Marine. Military families: I would love to hear your story. Catherine DePew is a 1975 graduate of Lincoln Christian College in Lincoln, Illinois. She has been employed by Nabisco/Kraft Foods for 25 years. She is a member of Cathedral of Praise in Maumee, Ohio and has been involved in children's ministry, facilitating Beth Moore women's Bible studies, and she and her husband are co-directors of Everyday Heroes Military Ministry. She is a member of the Northwest Ohio Marine Family Support Community. Her highest calling is that of a wife to Lenny and mother to Katelyn, Kenton, and daughter-in-law Julie. Cathy's newest joy is becoming a grandmother to Christian Kurt Dial. Cathy enjoys the beauty of quilts, sunsets and sunrises, and the stars in the nighttime sky. She loves the Scriptures, aims to be a Proverbs 31 kind of gal, enjoys the friends she's made along the way (especially the 'yoyo sisterhood' from LCC), and loves a good garage sale! |
