O Thou Who art able to keep me from falling, and to present me faultless in the Presence of Thy Glory with exceeding joy, have mercy; and in all the trials of my life_on_earth, in the hour of death and in the Day of Judgment, Good LORD, deliver me. Amen.

I will go forth in the strength of the LORD GOD, and will make mention of Thy_Righteousness only. I will sing of the LORD, because He hath dealt so lovingly with me; yea, I will praise the Name of the LORD most Highest. Alleluia !

Ephes. vi. 10.

E strong in the LORD, and in the power of His might. Put on the whole armour of GOD, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of GOD, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and, having done all, to stand. Stand, therefore, having your loins girt about with truth; and having on the breastplate of righteousness; and your feet shod with

the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked; and take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the SPIRIT, which is the Word of GOD: praying always with all prayer and supplication in the SPIRIT, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints.

I

PSALM CXI. Confitebor tibi.

WILL give thanks unto the LORD with my whole heart: secretly among the faithful, and in the congregation.

The works of the LORD are great : sought out of all them that have pleasure therein.

His work is worthy to be praised, and had in honour and His righteousness endureth for ever.

The merciful and gracious LORD hath so done His marvellous works that they ought to be had in remembrance.

He hath given meat unto them that fear Him He shall ever be mindful of His covenant.

He hath shewed His people the power of His works that He may give them the heritage of the heathen.

The works of His hands are verity and

judgment all His commandments are

true.

They stand fast for ever and ever and are done in truth and equity.

He sent redemption unto His people : He hath commanded His covenant for ever; holy and reverend is His Name.

The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom a good understanding have all they that do thereafter; the praise of it endureth for ever.

Glory be to the FATHER, and to the SON and to the HOLY GHOST ;

:

and

As it was in the beginning, is now, ever shall be world without end. Amen.

The Abiding Presence.

They constrained Him, saying, Abide with us.

ABIDE with us, LORD; abide with

us, even until the morning; let us enjoy meanwhile Thy Presence; let us be glad and rejoice in Thy Resurrection. The darkness thickeneth, evening presseth upon the day. May our Sun, CHRIST our GOD, shew the Light of His Countenance upon us!

O good LORD, I have this day received Thee into my soul; leave me not, O my SAVIOUR, lest, losing Thee, I die. My soul hangeth upon Thee; O LORD, forsake not Thou Thine Own!

Thou hast fed me to-day with that Bread which came down from Heaven, of which he that eateth shall never die; Thou hast given me to drink of that Precious Blood. shed for the Remission of Sins, which maketh our Peace with GOD. Therefore my heart is glad and my glory rejoiceth my flesh also shall rest in hope.

Thou didst bring me to the Banqueting

House of Thy Eucharistic Mysteries, and above me Thou didst spread the Banner of Thy Love. There, in the Holiest Place, Thou spakedst to my soul the things that belong to its peace. There, Thou didst refresh me with Thyself, and didst shew me things to come.

Oh stablish the thing which Thou hast wrought in me! Let me from henceforth walk worthy of the vocation with which I am called, that I grieve not the HOLY SPIRIT of GOD, nor cause Thee to depart from me, by Whose Sacramental Indwelling I am sanctified, and by Whose Life I live.

Forgive me, my SAVIOUR, Longsuffering and Pitiful One, forgive the unworthiness which Thou hast seen in my Communion this day, and for Thy tender mercies' sake impute it not to me for sin.

And now, LORD, abide in me, that I may abide in Thee, as Thou art in the FATHER and the FATHER is in Thee, that I may be one with Thee and with the FATHER, according to Thy Will.

For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate me from the Love of GOD, which is in CHRIST JESUS our LORD. Amen.
