I

S. John xv. I.

AM the true Vine, and My FATHER. is the Husbandman. Every branch in me that beareth not fruit He taketh away; and every branch that beareth fruit, He purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit. Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you. Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in Me. I am the Vine, ye are the branches. He that abideth in Me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit; for without Me ye can do nothing. If a man abide not in Me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned. If ye abide in Me, and My words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you. Herein is My FATHER glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be My disciples. As the FATHER hath loved Me, so have I loved you continue ye in My love. If ye keep My commandments, ye shall abide in My love; even as I have kept My FATHER'S commandments, and abide in His love. These things have I spoken unto you, that My joy might re

main in you, and that your joy might be full.

MY

PSALM LXII. Nonne Deo?

Y soul truly waiteth still upon GOD: for of Him cometh my salvation. He verily is my Strength and my Salvation: He is my Defence, so that I shall not greatly fall.

How long will ye imagine mischief against every man ye shall be slain all the sort of you; yea, as a tottering wall shall ye be, and like a broken hedge.

Their device is only how to put him out whom GOD will exalt their delight is in lies; they give good words with their mouth, but curse with their heart.

Nevertheless, my soul, wait thou still upon GOD for my hope is in Him.

He truly is my Strength and my Salvation He is my Defence, so that I shall not fall.

In GOD is my health, and my glory : the Rock of my might, and in GOD is my

trust.

O put your trust in Him alway, ye people pour out your hearts before Him, for GOD is our Hope.

As for the children of men, they are but vanity the children of men are deceitful upon the weights, they are altogether lighter than vanity itself.

O trust not in wrong and robbery, give not yourselves unto vanity: if riches increase, set not your heart upon them.

GOD spake once, and twice I have also heard the same: that power belongeth unto GOD;

And that Thou, LORD, art merciful: for Thou rewardest every man according to his work.

Glory be to the FATHER, and to the SON and to the HOLY GHOST ;

As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be: world without end. Amen.

The Witness to the World.

They took knowledge of them that they had been with JESUS.

THOU, Whom not having seen, I

Love; in whom believing, I rejoice; Whose Very Self I have received, and with Whom, by Sacramental Indwelling, I am one; O FATHER, SON, and SPIRIT, Blessed and Eternal LORD, let Thy Grace be with me evermore.

Let me, remembering Whose I am, and with what Price I have been bought, glory in nothing save in the Cross of my LORD JESUS CHRIST, by Whom the world is crucified unto me, and I unto the world.

As with my lips I confess, and with my heart I believe, 'so in my life let me shew forth the Salvation which Thou hast wrought for sinful man.

Let me, which am CHRIST'S, crucify the flesh with the affections and lusts; let ne keep under my body, and bring it into subjection, that though the outward man perish, the inward man may be

renewed day by day; bearing about in my body the Dying of the LORD, that the Life also of JESUS may be made manifest in my mortal flesh.

Whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, and lovely, and of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, let me think on these things.

Let my speech be always with grace, seasoned with salt; give me fervid zeal, wisdom, charity, and holy discipline.

With meekness let me bear my own burdens, and with charity the burdens of others; in all things fulfilling the Will of GOD for me, even my sanctification.

May the GOD of Love and Peace be with me, this day and for evermore. Amen.

S. John xv. 17.

HESE things I command you, that ye love one another. If the world hate you, ye know that it hated Me before it hated you. If ye were of the world, the world would love his own but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you. Remember the word that I said unto you, The servant is
