A-rise, O Lord God, and lift up thine hand: For-get not the poor.

O my foul, thou haft faid un-to the Lord, thou art my God, my goods are no-thing un-to thee. All my de-light is up-on the faints that are in the earth; and up-on fuch as ex-cel in vir-tue. I have fet God al-ways be-fore me: For he is on my right-hand, there-fore I fhall not fall,

The Lord is my fhep-herd, there-fore can I lack no-thing.

He fhall feed me in a green pa-fture; and lead me forth be-fide the waters of com-fort.

Thou shalt pre-pare a ta-ble be-fore me, against them that trou-ble me; thou didst anoint my head with oil, and my cup fhall be full.

But thy loving kind-nefs and mer-cy fhall fol-low me all the days of my life: And I will dwell in the houfe of the Lord for e-ver.

The rich and the poor meet to-ge-ther: The Lord is the ma-ker of them all.

A pru-dent man fore-fee-eth e-vil, and hi-deth him-felf: But the fim-ple país on, and are punish-ed.

He that op-preff-eth the poor to in-crease his rich-es, and he that giveth to the rich, fhall fure-ly come to want.

LESSON II.

Why ftand-eft thou fo far off, O Lord: and hi deft thy face in the need-ful time of trouble? The un-god-ly for his own luft doth per-fecute the poor: let them be ta-ken in the fame craft that they have' de-vi-sed.

LESSON III.

The hea-vens de-clare the glo-ry of God; and the fir-ma-ment fhew-eth his han-dy-work.

One day tel-leth a-no-ther, and one night doth cer-ti-fy a-no-ther.

There is nei-ther fpeech nor lan-guage, but their voi-ces are heard a-mongst them.

Their found is gone out in-to all lands; and their words un-to the end of the world.

The fear of the Lord is pure, and en-du-reth for ever: The judg-ments of the Lord are always right-e-ous and true.

More to be de-fi-red are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold: Sweet-er al-fo than the ho-ney, and the ho ney comb.

More-o-ver by them is thy fer-vant taught: and is keep-ing of them there is great reward.
