THE Advent of our God Our prayers must now employ, And we must meet Him on His road With hymus of holy joy. The everlasting Son Incarnate deigns to be; He hath a servant's form put on, As Judge, in clouds of light And when in glorious power May we discern, in that dread hour, Our Saviour and our Friend !-AMEN. P.M. "The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light." HARK! a thrilling voice is sounding; "Christ is nigh !" it seems to say, "Cast away the works of darkness, O ye children of the day!"
