For there is one God, and one Mediator between God and Men, the Man Chrift Jefus, who gave himself a RANSOM for all. Heb. VIII. 1,6. We have fuch an High Prieft, who is fet on the right Hand of the Throne of the Majefty in the Heavens; the MEDIATOR of a better COVENANT, which was established upon better PROMISES. (c) Rom. v. 6,21. For when we were yet without Strength, in due time Chrift died for the Ungodly; that as Sin hath reigned unto Death, even fo might Grace reign through Righteousness unto eternal Life, by Jefus Chrift our Lord. For I through the Law am dead to the Law, that I might live unto God: I am crucified with Christ, nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Chrift liveth in me; and the Life which I now live in the Flefh, I live by the Faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me. I pour out my Complaint before thee; I fhewed before thee my Trouble: When my SPIRIT was overwhelmed within me, then thou kneweft my Path. I CRY unto thee, O Lord; thou art my REFUGE, and my PORTION in the Land of the Living. Attend unto my CRY, (e) for I am brought very Low: DELIVER me from my Perfecutors, for they are stronger than I.
