RANT, O merciful God, that the old Adam may die in us, and that the new man may be raised up in us. Amen. Grant that all carnal affections may die in us, and that all things belonging to the Spirit may live and grow in us. Amen.

Grant that we may have power and strength to have victory, and to triumph, against the devil, the world, and the flesh, through Thy mercy, O blessed Lord God, Who dost live, and govern all things, world without end. Amen.

GOD, our Father, we would with child-like hearts entreat Thee to give us in this world whatever is for our true good, and is according to Thy Will. Command a blessing on our daily duties and occupations; and grant us grace so to use Thy gifts of time and opportunity and earthly store, that, free from all anxiety and unworthy fear, we may serve Thee in them, and be able to serve others, to Thy honour and glory, through Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.

O Lord, put forth Thy great power, and succour us.
That we may evermore trust in Thee.

Lord, let Thy strength be our peace,

And Thy mercy our hope.

HEAVENLY Father, Who beholdest all parts of the earth,

let Thy watchful care be over those members of our family, who, though absent from us, are still present with Thee. Remember them for good, O Lord, and all others who are bound to us by the ties of kindred and friendship; and supply, as may be best for them, all their wants and desires, for Jesus Christ's sake. Amen.

WE

WE beseech Thee, O Lord, for all who are in darkness or doubt, that being enlightened by Thee they may be led into the way of truth. And grant that they on whom Thou hast bestowed the grace of faith may by Thy bounty continue in it to the end, receiving at the last the Crown of life. Amen.

MAY

[AY the Lord defend and keep us. May the Lord set a watch over our souls, and preserve us from evil. Amen.

Saturday Evening.

Lord, have mercy upon us.

Christ, have mercy upon us.

Lord, have mercy upon us.

HEAVENLY Father, Who hast manifested Thyself to us in Thy Son Jesus Christ our Lord, vouchsafe to us through Him the pardon of our sins, grace to serve Thee faithfully unto the end, and eternal life with Thee in heaven. In Thee, O Lord, we put our trust. Save us for Thy mercies' sake. Amen.

Teach us to do the thing that pleaseth Thee; for Thou art our God.

Let Thy loving Spirit lead us forth into the land of righteousness.

ETERNAL Word, Who through Thy wonderful Incarnation hast deigned to make us, who are children of dust, to be one with Thyself, and members of that sacred Body of which Thou art the Head, may the sense of this our union with Thee be ever present to us, and keep us by day and by night from all evil. May Thy Spirit dwell in our hearts, as the Spirit of love and purity, that we may be conformed to Thine Image in all lowliness and sanctity. Grant this, O Blessed Jesus, to Whom be all praise for ever. Amen.

O Jesus, Who for our sake didst humble Thyself to dwell among us,

In humility and patience may we follow Thee.

Thou for us didst lay aside Thy glory.

In lowliness of mind may we deny ourselves, for others and for Thee.

UR Father, Which art in heaven, Hallowed be Thy Name.

heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, As we forgive them that trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation; But deliver us from evil. Amen.

LORD, Who hast united us Thy children in one family, and hast bidden us take heed for each other's welfare, mercifully forgive all the harm which, knowingly or unknowingly, in word or in act, we may have done to others to-day; and grant that any hurt which our neglect or ignorance may have wrought, be put away, and be changed into blessing, in Thy merciful care and pity. Amen.

Let us be kindly affectioned one to another, in brotherly love.

For we being many are one Body in Christ.

Love worketh no ill to his neighbour.

But where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work.

GOD, Who dwellest in the light that no man can approach unto, Thou hast guided us by Thy great mercy throughout this day, and hast brought us in peace to the close of another week. Accept now our unworthy prayers; and so enlighten the eyes of our souls, that we, walking in Thy light, and continuing in Thy grace, may behold the wonders of Thy love, and evermore praise Thee, through Jesus Christ, our Saviour. Amen.▸

Amen.

OUR

Sunday Morning.

UR Father, Which art in heaven, Hallowed be Thy Name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, As it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. The Lord is in His Holy Temple;

Let all the earth keep silence before Him.

Lift up your heads, O ye gates; and be ye lift up, ye everlasting doors,

And the King of glory shall come in.

LORD, we entreat Thee empty our hearts of vain thoughts and earthly distractions, when we approach Thy holy Presence. Help us to come before Thee with reverence, and with prayer and thanksgiving to glorify Thee. Fill us with Thy manifold gifts of grace; in Thy Word may we find counsel and strength; and in communion with Thee may our spiritual life be quickened, and our hearts be raised above the things that are seen to those that are eternal. Hear us, O God, through Jesus Christ, our Saviour. Amen.

ETERNAL Sun of righteousness, Who camest from Thy Father to enlighten the darkness of the world, let Thy mercy shine forth and break through the clouds and darkness which surround us. Awaken us from the sleep of sin and idleness, that we may rise to the life of righteousness; and make our hearts a temple for Thyself, wherein Thy Holy Spirit may continually dwell, inspiring them with true love and thankful obedience to Thee. May we rest in the sense of Thy Presence with us, this and all our days, and so with gladness ever serve and praise Thee. Amen.

Hear our prayer, O Lord, when we lift up our hands towards the Mercy-seat of Thy Holy Temple.

We wait for Thy loving-kindness, O God, in the midst of Thy Temple.

Blessed be the Lord God, the God of Israel, Who only doeth wondrous things.

Let the whole earth be filled with His glory. Amen and Amen.

Praise be to Thee, O Lord, King of glory. Alleluia.
Thy Name is great, wonderful, and holy. Alleluia.
The Lord of life, Thou hast overcome death;

And hast won for us the endless life.

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Ghost. As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.
