It is designed that each member of the household should be supplied with a Copy of this short Manual, in order that all may be able to follow the Prayers and join in the Responses; and that thus the attention may be kept up, and union and earnestness be imparted to the daily Prayer of the Family.

Part I. of this Manual has already gone through several Editions. This Second Part is issued separately for the convenience of those who may now be using the First Part. It is intended ultimately to publish the two Parts together, so as to form a Series for the entire month. Prayers and Litanies for Advent, and Lent, and the other Seasons of the Christian Year, and also for the use of Schools, are given in Part I., and are therefore not repeated here.

Sunday Morning.

UR Father, Which art in heaven, Hallowed be Thy Name.

in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, And forgive us our trespasses, As we forgive them that trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation; But deliver us from evil. For Thine is the kingdom, the power, and the glory, For ever and ever. Amen.

ALMIGHTY Father, Lord of heaven and earth, Who as on this day didst create the light, we beseech Thee send the light of Thy Truth upon the dark places of the earth. And as Thou hast raised us up again to see another day, so make us to walk as children of light, that we may have no fellowship with the works of darkness. Hear us, O Thou that dwellest in light unapproachable, through Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.

Glory be to Thee, O God, Who didst create the light, and with Thy Truth dost enlighten the world.

ALMIGHTY God, Who didst give Thine Only-Begotten Son, our Lord Jesus Christ to be the Light of the world, and on the first day of the week didst raise Him from the dead, grant that the heavenly Day-Star may shine into our hearts, and that we may rise from the death of sin to a new and holy life, through the same Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.

Glory be to Thee, O God, Who by Thy Son hast brought life and immortality to light.

GOD, we pray Thee to visit the earth with Thy mercy on this day of peace and rest. This is the Day which Thou hast made, and hast given unto us for blessing and gladness; we will rejoice in it, and praise Thy Holy Name. Give us grace to enter Thy House with contrite and thankful hearts, that we may confess our sins with godly sorrow, and with reverence and understanding may sing Thy praise. Keep us from all wandering

and disquieting thoughts, and from worldly longings and desires. Lead us forth by the waters of comfort, and in the paths of righteousness, till we reach the end of our earthly pilgrimage, and enter the mansions of peace, to enjoy an eternal and unbroken Rest with Thy Saints and holy Angels. Amen.

Glory be to Thee, O God, Who hast given us Eternal Life, and the promise of an endless Rest.

The Lord is King. He sitteth between the Cherubim.
Holy and reverend is His Name.

The Lord that made heaven and earth give thee blessing out of Sion.

That we may go unto the Altar of God, even unto the God of our joy and gladness.

LORD Jesus Christ, Who didst promise to be present always with Thy Church, we beseech Thee give to the Bishops and Pastors of Thy Flock, and to all the Clergy, the spirit of holiness and courage, of patience and humility, of prudence and diligence, that they may declare Thy Will by a holy life and wise teaching, and so faithfully minister Thy Word and Sacraments, that they may at last shine as the stars in glory, and find a full reward in the Day of Thy Appearing. Amen.

How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the Gospel of peace!

They bring glad tidings of good things.

My Word shall not return unto Me void; It shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Ghost.

As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.

PRAISE and everlasting glory be to God the Father, God the

Son, and God the Holy Ghost, for ever and for evermore. Amen.
