Jesus said unto him: Go thy way; thy faith hath made thee whole. And immediately he received his sight, and followed Jesus in the way.

When they came nigh to Jerusalem, unto Bethphage and Bethany, at the Mount of Olives, He sendeth forth two of His disciples, and saith unto them: Go your way into the village over against you and as soon as ye be entered into it, ye shall find a colt tied, whereon never man sat; loose him, and bring him. And if any man say unto you, Why do ye this? say ye that the Lord hath need of him. And they went their way and found the colt tied by the door without in a place where two ways met; and they loose him. And they brought the colt to Jesus, and cast their garments on him; and He sat upon him. And many spread their garments in the way: and others cut down branches off the trees, and strawed them in the way. And they that went before, and they that followed, cried, saying: Hosanna; blessed is He that cometh in the name of the Lord. Blessed be the kingdom of our father David, that cometh in the name of the Lord: Hosanna in the highest.

Jesus went into the temple, and began to cast out them that sold and bought in the temple, and overthrew the tables of the moneychangers, and the seats of them that sold doves; saying unto them: Is it not written, My house shall be called of all nations the house of prayer? but ye have made it a den of thieves. And the scribes and chief priests heard it, and sought how they might destroy Him. And when even was come He went out of the city.

Jesus said, Have faith in God. For verily I say unto you, that whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. Therefore I say unto you, what things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.

When ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses. But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses.

And as He was walking in the temple, there come to Him the chief priests, and the scribes, and the elders, and say unto

Him: By what authority doest Thou these things? and who gave Thee this authority to do these things? And Jesus answered and said unto them: I will also ask of you one question, and answer Me, and I will tell you by what authority I do these things. The baptism of John, was it from heaven, or of men ? answer Me. And they reasoned with themselves, saying, If we shall say, from heaven; He will say, Why then did ye not believe him? But if we shall say, of men; they feared the people: for all counted John, that he was a prophet indeed. And they answered and said unto Jesus: We cannot tell. And Jesus answering saith unto them: Neither do I tell you by what authority I do these things.

He began to speak unto them by parables. A man planted a vineyard, and set an hedge about it, and digged a winepress and built a tower, and let it out to husbandmen, and went into a far country. And at the season he sent to the husbandmen a servant, that he might receive from the husbandmen of the fruit of the vineyard. And they beat him, and sent him away empty. And again he sent unto them another servant; and him they sent away shamefully handled. And again he sent another; and him they killed, and many others; beating some, and killing some. Having yet therefore one son, his wellbeloved, he sent him also last unto them, saying, They will reverence my son. But those husbandmen said among themselves, This is the heir; come, let us kill him, and the inheritance shall be ours. And they took him, and killed him, and cast him out of the vineyard. What shall therefore the lord of the vineyard do? he will come and destroy the husbandmen, and will give the vineyard unto others. And have ye not read this scripture; The stone which the builders rejected is become the head of the corner? And they sought to lay hold on Him, but feared the people: for they knew that He had spoken the parable against them.

And they send unto Him to catch Him in His words. Ana when they were come, they say unto Him: Master, we know that Thou art true, and regardest not the person of men, but teachest the way of God in truth: Is it lawful to give tribute to Cæsar, or not? But He, knowing their hypocrisy, said: Bring Me a penny. And they brought it. And He saith unto them: Whose is this image and superscription? And they said unto Him, Cæsar's. And Jesus answering said unto them:

Render to Cæsar the things that are Cæsar's, and to God the things that are God's. And they marvelled at Him.

Then come unto Him the Sadducees, which say there is no resurrection; and they asked Him, saying: Master, Moses wrote unto us, if a man die, and leave a wife and no children, that his brother should take his wife, and raise up seed unto his brother. There were seven brethren: and the first took a wife, and dying left no seed, and the second, and the third, and the seven. Last of all the woman died also. In the resurrection, whose wife shall she be ? for the seven had her. Jesus said unto them: Do ye not err, because ye know not the scriptures, neither the power of God? For when they shall rise from the dead, they neither marry, nor are given in marriage; but are as the angels which are in heaven. And as touching the dead, that they rise: have ye not read how God spake, saying, I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob? He is not the God of the dead, but the God of the living.

And one asked Him: Which is the first commandment of all ♪ And Jesus answered him: Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment. And the second, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these. And no man after that durst ask Him any question.

Jesus said: How say the scribes that Christ is the son of David? For David himself said by the Holy Ghost, The Lord said to my Lord, Sit Thou on My right hand, till I make Thine enemies Thy footstool. David therefore himself calleth Him Lord; and whence is He his son?

He said, Beware of the scribes, which love to go in long clothing, and love salutations in the marketplaces, and the chief seats in the synagogues, and the uppermost rooms at feasts: which devour widows' houses, and for a pretence make long prayers: these shall receive greater condemnation.

One of His disciples saith unto Him as He went out of the temple: Master, see what manner of stones and what buildings! And Jesus answering said unto him: Seest thou these great buildings? there shall not be left one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down.

And as He sat upon the Mount of Olives over against the temple, Peter and James and John and Andrew asked Him, Tell us when shall these things be? and what the sign when all these things shall be fulfilled? And Jesus answered them, Take heed lest any deceive you: for many shall come in My name, saying, I am Christ. And when ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars, be ye not troubled: for such must needs be; but the end is not yet. For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be earthquakes in divers places, and there shall be famines and troubles. But take heed to yourselves: for they shall deliver you up to councils; and in the synagogues ye shall be beaten: and ye shall be brought before rulers and kings for My sake, for a testimony against them. But take no thought beforehand what ye shall speak, neither do ye premeditate: but whatsoever shall be given you in that hour, that speak ye: for it is not ye that speak, but the Holy Ghost.

Brother shall betray the brother to death, and the father the son: and children shall rise up against their parents, and shall cause them to be put to death. And ye shall be hated of all men for My name's sake: but he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.

But when ye shall see the abomination of desolation standing where it ought not, then let them that be in Judæa flee to the mountains: and let not him that is on the housetop go down into the house, neither enter to take anything out of his house. But woe to them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days! For in those days shall be affliction, such as was not from the beginning of the creation, which God created unto this time, neither shall be.

And then if any man shall say to you, Lo, here is Christ; or, Lo, He is there; believe him not. But in those days, after that tribulation, the sun shall be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light. And the stars of heaven shall fall, and the powers that are in heaven shall be shaken. And then shall they see the Son of Man coming in the clouds with great power and glory. And then shall He send His angels, and gather together His elect from the four winds, from the uttermost part of the earth to the uttermost part of heaven. Learn a parable of the fig tree: When her branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is near: so ye in like manner, when ye shall see

these things come to pass, know that it is nigh. Verily I say unto you, that this generation shall not pass, till all these things be done. Heaven and earth shall pass away : but My words shall not pass away. But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father. Take ye heed, watch and pray for ye know not when the time is.

After two days was the Passover: and the chief priests and the scribes sought how they might take Him by craft, and put Him to death. But they said, Not on the feast, lest there be an uproar of the people.

And Jesus being in Bethany in the house of Simon the leper, as He sat at meat, there came a woman having an alabaster box of ointment very precious ; and she brake the box, and poured it on His head. And there were some that had indignation within themselves, and said, Why was this waste of the ointment made? For it might have been sold for more than three hundred pence, and have been given to the poor. And they murmured against her. And Jesus said: Let her alone; why trouble ye her? she hath wrought a good work on Me. For ye have the poor with you always, and whensoever ye will ye may do them good: but Me ye have not always. She hath done what she could: she is come aforehand to anoint My body to the burying.

And Judas Iscariot, one of the Twelve, went unto the chief priests, to betray Him unto them. And when they heard it they were glad, and promised to give him money. And he sought how he might conveniently betray Him.

And the first day of unleavened bread, when they killed the passover, His disciples said unto Him: Where wilt Thou that we go and prepare that Thou mayest eat the passover? And He sendeth forth two of His disciples, and saith unto them: Go ye into the city, and there shall meet you a man bearing a pitcher of water: follow him. And wheresoever he shall go in, say ye to the goodman of the house, the Master saith, where is the guestchamber, where I shall eat the passover with My disciples? And he will shew you a large upper room furnished and prepared: there make ready for us. And His disciples went forth, and they made ready the passover.

And in the evening He cometh with the Twelve. And as they sat and did eat, Jesus said: Verily I say unto you, one of you
