3 While Thy glorious name is sung,
4 While Thy ministers proclaim
Jesus speaking from His throne.
LORD! when we bend before Thy throne,
2 When we disclose our wants in prayer,
May we our wills resign;
3 Let faith each meek petition fill,
And lift it to the skies;
4 When our united voices strive
Their cheerful hymns to raise, Let love divine within us live, And lift our souls in praise.
5 Then, on Thy glories while we dwell,
Thy mercies we'll review, Till love divine transported tell Thou, God, art Father too!
LONG have we heard the joyful sound
2 How cold and feeble is our love,
How negligent our fear;
3 Great God! Thy sovereign power impart,
To give Thy word success;
4 Show our forgetful feet the way
That leads to joy on high;
GREAT Shepherd of Thy people, hear,
2 Within these walls let holy peace
3 May we in faith receive Thy word,
In faith present our prayers;
4 The hearing ear, the seeing eye,
The contrite heart bestow;
GREAT Father of each perfect gift,
Z O shed abroad that royal gift,
3 With speedy flight may He descend,
And heavenly comfort bring;
4 Blest earnest of eternal joy,
Declare our sins forgiven;
Our raptured thoughts to heaven.
OLORD, how joyful 'tis to see
2 How sweet within Thy holy place,
3 O may we love the house of God,
4 The world without may rage, but we
5 Lord, shower upon us from above
Psalm c. A j A LL people that on earth do dwell,
_/~\. Sing to the Lord with cheerful voice; Him serve with fear, His praise forth tell, Come ye before Him and rejoice.
z The Lord, ye know, is God indeed;
3 O enter then His gates with praise,
Approach with joy His courts unto; Praise, laud, and bless His name always, For it is seemly so to do.
4 For why? the Lord eur God is good,
His mercy is for ever sure;
BEFORE Jehovah's awful throne
His sovereign power, without our aid,
And when like wandering sheep we strayed,
We'll crowd Thy gates with thankful songs, High as the heavens our voices raise;
And earth with her ten thousand tongues Shall fill Thy courts with sounding praise.
Wide as the world is Thy command;
Vast as eternity Thy love;
When rolling years shall cease to move.
