ARK the herald-angels sing
Glory to the new-born King!

Peace on earth and mercy mild,
God and sinners reconciled !
Joyful, all ye nations, rise,
Join the triumph of the skies;
With the angelic host proclaim,
Christ is born in Bethlehem .

Hark! the herald-angels sing

Glory to the new-born King!

Christ by highest heaven adored,
Christ the everlasting Lord
Late in time behold Him come,
Offspring of a Virgin's womb.
Veiled in flesh the Godhead see—
Hail, Incarnate Deity
Man with man He deigns to dwell,
Jesus, our Immanuel !
Hark! the herald-angels sing
Glory to the new-born King!

Hail the heaven-born Prince of Peace,
Hail the Sun of Righteousness!
Light and life to all He brings,
Risen with healing in His wings.
Lo! He lays His glory by,
Born that man no more may die;
Born to raise the sons of earth,
Born to give them second birth.
Hark! the herald-angels sing
Glory to the new-born King!

COME, all ye faithful,
Joyful and triumphant,
O come ye, O come ye, to Bethlehem;
Come and behold Him
Born, the King of angels;
O come, let us adore Him,
O come, let us adore Him,
O come, let us adore Him, Christ the Lord!

2 God of God,
Light of Light,
Lo! He abhors not the Virgin's womb ;
Very God,
Begotten, not created;
O come, let us adore Him, Christ the Lord!

3 Sing, choirs of angels,
Sing in exultation,
Sing, all ye citizens of heaven above,
Glory to God
In the highest:
O come, let us adore Him, Christ the Lord

4 Yea, Lord, we greet Thee,
Born this happy morning:
Jesus, to Thee be glory given;
Word of the Father,
Now in flesh appearing:
O come, let us adore Him, Christ the Lord!

HILE shepherds watched their flocks by night, All seated on the ground, The angel of the Lord came down, And glory shone around.

2 “Fear not,” said he ; for mighty dread
Had seized their troubled mind;
“Glad tidings of great joy I bring
To you and all mankind.

3 “To you in David's town this day
Is born of David's line
A Saviour, who is Christ the Lord ;
And this shall be the sign:

4 “The heavenly Babe you there shall find
To human view displayed,
All meanly wrapped in swathing bands,
And in a manger laid.”

5 Thus spake the seraph, and forthwith
Appeared a shining throng
Of angels praising God, who thus
Addressed their joyful song:

6 “All glory be to God on high,
And in the earth be peace;
Goodwill henceforth from heaven to men
Begin and never cease!”

E has come ! the Christ of God;
Left for us His glad abode ;
Stooping from His throne of bliss,
To this darksome wilderness.

He has come ! the Prince of Peace;
Come to bid our sorrows cease;
Come to scatter with His light
All the shadows of our night.

He the mighty King has come !
Making this poor earth His home;
Come to bear our sin’s sad load ;
Son of David, Son of God!

He has come, whose name of grace
Speaks deliverance to our race;
Left for us His glad abode;
Son of Mary, Son of God!

Unto us a Child is born 1
Ne'er has earth beheld a morn,
Among all the morns of time,
Half so glorious in its prime.

Unto us a Son is given
He has come from God's own heaven,
Bringing with Him from above

Holy peace and holy love.

RIGHT and joyful is the morn, For to us a Child is born ; From the highest realms of heaven Unto us a Son is given.

On His shoulder He shall bear
Power and majesty, and wear
On His vesture and His thigh
Names most awful, names most high.

Wonderful in counsel He,
The Incarnate Deity;
Sire of ages ne'er to cease,
King of kings and Prince of Peace.

Come and worship at His feet,
Yield to Christ the homage meet,
From His manger to His throne,
Homage due to God alone.

LEST are the pure in heart, For they shall see our God; The secret of the Lord is theirs, Their soul is Christ’s abode.

The Lord, who left the heavens
Our life and peace to bring,
To dwell in lowliness with men,
Their Pattern and their King;
He to the lowly soul
Doth still Himself impart;
And for His dwelling and His throne
Chooseth the pure in heart.
