This Charge and Inftruction given by David to his Son, was at the Time when he was about to refign his Crown and Kingdom to him, and when he had in his View the near Approach of his own Death. It containing in Miniature many of the prin cipal Duties that are requifue to eternal Salvation, as may appear by the References thereto annexed, is therefore a very proper Lesson for Parents, Mafters, and Miftreffes to teach the Children under their Care; and that it may be imprinted in their Memovies, they should be required often to repeat the fame.
