LXXXVIII. Persons encouraged to rejoice in God, are the righteous. Ps. xxxii. 11. Be glad in the Lord and rejoice, ye righteous, and shout for joy all ye that are upright in heart. Ps. xxxiii. 1.

2 Chr. vi. 4i. At the dedication of the temple, Solomon prayed, saying, let thy priests O Lord, be clothed with salvation, and let thy saints rejoice in goodness. 1 Kings viii. 66. Ps. lxiii. 2.

Ezra iii. 12. At laying the foundation of the second temple, many shouted aloud for joy. Ver. 13.

vi. 12. They kept the dedication of the second temple with joy.

2 Chr. Xxix. 35. The service of the house of the Lord was set in order.

CIV. God's-vengeance upon hisand his people's enemies,cause ofrejoicing. Deut. xxxii. 43. Rejoice, O ye nations with his people, for he will avenge the blood of his servants and will render vengeance to his adversaries, and will be merciful unto his land, and to his people.

Ps. xlviii. 11. Let mount Zion rejoice, let the daughters of Judah be glad, because of thy judgments. Ver. 97. 8.
