ƒ O WORSHIP the King, All-glorious above; O gratefully sing

His power and His love; Our Shield and Defender, The Ancient of days, Pavilioned in splendour, And girded with praise. ƒ O tell of His might,

O sing of His grace,
Whose robe is the light,

Whose canopy, space; His chariots of wrath

The deep thunder-clouds form; And dark is His path

On the wings of the storm.

[mfThe earth with its store

Of wonders untold, Almighty! Thy power

Hath founded of old; Hath stablished it fast

By a changeless decree, And round it hath cast,

Like a mantle, the sea.] mf Thy bountiful eare

What tongue can recite ! It breathes in the air,

It shines in the light, It streams from the hills, It descends to the plain, p And sweetly distils

In the dew and the rain.

p Frail children of dust, And feeble as frail, cres In Thee do we trust,

Nor find Thee to fail ; mf Thy mercies how tender, How firm to the end, Our Maker, Defender, Redeemer, and Friend! ƒ O measureless might!

Ineffable love!
While angels delight

To hymn Thee above, dim The humbler creation,

Though feeble their lays, cres With true adoration

Shall lisp to Thy praise.

cres And Him my only Portion make, My Shield and Tower.

The God of Abraham praise,
Whose all-sufficient grace
Shall guide me all my happy days,
In all my ways.

He calls a worm His friend,
He calls Himself my God,
And He shall save me to the end
Through Jesu's blood.
mf He by Himself hath sworn,
I on His oath depend;

I shall, on eagles' wings upborne, To heaven ascend : cres I shall behold His face, I shall His power adore, f And sing the wonders of His grace For evermore.
