But, lo! the chief of sinners now
Is brought before thy throne to bow;

By pity drawn from realms above,

MISSIONARY.
BEGIN my tongue, some heav'nly theme,

Prepare my heart, to sing
The mighty works, and mightier name,

Of Christ our heav'nly King.
Tell of his wondrous faithfulness,

And promise-keeping God.
Proclaim salvation from the Lord,
