COME, my soul, thy suit prepare,
Jesus loves to answer prayer;
He himself has bid thee pray,
Therefore will not say thee nay.

Thou art coming to a King,
Large petitions with thee bring :
For His grace and power are such,
None can ever ask too much.

With my burden I begin:
Lord, remove this load of sin;
Let Thy blood for sinners spilt,
Set my conscience free from guilt.

Lord, I come to Thee for rest,
Take possession of my breast;
There Thy blood-bought right maintain,
And without a rival reign.
While I am a pilgrim here
Let Thy love my spirit cheer;
As my Guide, my Guard, my Friend,
Lead me to my journey's end.

Shew me what I have to do,
Every hour my strength renew,
Let me live a life of faith,
Let me die Thy people's death. Amen.

7's. Hark, my soul! it is the Lord, 'Tis thy Saviour, hear His word: Jesus speaks, and speaks to thee; Say poor sinner, lov'st thou Me?

I delivered thee when bound,
And, when bleeding, heal'd thy wound;
Sought thee wandering, set thee right,
Turn'd thy darkness into light.

Can a woman's tender care
Cease towards the child she bare ?
Yes, she may forgetful be,
Yet will I remember thee!

Mine is as unchanging love,
Higher than the heights above,
Deeper than the depths beneath,
Free and faithful, strong as death.

Thou shall see my glory soon,
When the work of grace is done,
Partner of my throne shalt be-
Say poor sinner, lov'st thou Me?
Lord! it is my chief complaint,
That my love is weak and faint,
Yet I love Thee, and adore !
O for grace to love Thee more. Amen.

Why should I fear the darkest hour,
Or tremble at the Tempter's power ?
Jesus vouchsafes to be my Tower.

Though hot the fight, why quit the field ?
Why must I either fly or yield,
Since Jesus is my mighty Shield ?

Though all the flocks and herds were dead,
My soul a famine need not dread,
For Jesus is my living Bread.

. I know not what may soon betide, Or how my wants shall be supplied, But Jesus knows and will provide.

Though sin would fill me with distress,
The Throne of Grace I dare address,
For Jesus is my Righteousness.

Though faint my prayers and cold my love,
My steadfast hope shall not remove
While Jesus intercedes above.

Against me earth and hell combine ;
But on my side is Power Divine;
Jesus is all, and He is mine! Amen.

ETERNAL FATHER! strong to save,
Whose arm hath bound the restless wave;
Who bidst the mighty ocean deep
Its own appointed limits keep,

O hear us when we cry to Thee,
For those in peril on the sea.

O Christ, whose voice the waters heard,
And hushed their raging at Thy word,
Who walkedst on the foaming deep,
And calm amidst its rage didst sleep,

O hear us when we cry to Thee,
For those in peril on the sea.

Most Holy Spirit, who didst brood
Upon the chaos dark and rude,
And bid its angry tumult cease,
And give, for wild confusion, peace;

O hear us when we cry to Thee,
For those in peril on the sea.

O Trinity of Love and Power,
Our brethren shield in danger's hour,
From rock and tempest, fire and foe,
Protect them wheresoe'er they go :

Thus evermore shall rise to Thee
Glad hymns of praise from land and sea.

L. M. God of that glorious gift of grace By which Thy people seek Thy face, When in Thy presence we appear Vouchsafe us faith to venture near.

Confiding in Thy truth alone,
Here, on the steps of Jesus' throne,
We lay the treasure Thou hast given
To be received and rear'd for heaven.

Lent to us for a season, we
Lend him for ever, Lord, to Thee!
Assured that, if to Thee he live,
We gain in what we seem to give.

Large and abundant blessings shed,
Warm as these prayers, upon his head!
And on his soul the dews of grace,
Fresh as these drops upon his face!

Make him and keep him Thine own child,
Meek follower of the Undefil'd!
Possessor here of grace and love,
Inheritor of heaven alone! Amen.
