His praise declare,
Ye heav'ns above,

And clouds that move,
In liquid air.

Let earth her tribute pay;
Praise him ye dreadful whales,
And fish that through the sea
Glide swift with glitt'ring scales;
Fire, hail, and snow,

And misty air,

And winds that, where
He bids them, blow.

United zeal be shewn

His wondrous fame to raise,
Whose glorious name alone
Deserves our endless praise;
Earth's utmost ends
His pow'r obey;
His glorious sway
The sky transcends.

PSALM CXLIX.

C. M.

Praise God, all his Saints.

1 ALL ye that love the Lord, rejoice, And let your song be new;

Amidst the church with cheerful voice His later wonders shew.

2 The Jews, the people of his grace,
Shall their Redeemer sing;
And Gentile nations join the praise,
While Zion owns her King.

3 The Lord takes pleasure in the just,
Whom sinners treat with scorn;
The meek, that lie despis'd in dust
Salvation shall adorn.

4 Saints should be joyful in their King,
E'en on a dying bed;
And like the souls in glory sing;
For God shall raise the dead.

5 When Christ the judgment-seat ascends,
And bids the world appear,
Thrones are prepar'd for all his friends,
Who humbly lov'd him here.

[blocks in formation]

Angels and all Creatures called upon to praise the Lord.

1 PRAISE the Lord, in that bless'd place, From whence his goodness largely flows; Praise him in heav'n, where he his face Unveil'd, in perfect glory, shews.

2 Praise him for all the mighty acts,
Which he in our behalf has done ;
His kindness this return exacts,
With which our praise should equal run.

3 Let all that vital breath enjoy,

The breath he does to them afford
In just returns of praise employ :
Let ev'ry creature praise the Lord.

DOXOLOGIES.

C. M.

TO Father, Son, and Holy Ghost,
The God, whom we adore,
Be glory, as it was, is now,
And shall be evermore.

S. M.

TO God, the Father, Son,
And Spirit, glory be;

As was, and is, and shall be still
To all eternity.

L. M.

TO Father, Son, and Holy Ghost,
The God whom earth and heav'n adore,
Be glory as it was of old,

Is now, and shall be evermore.

L. M.

PRAISE God, from whom all blessings

flow:

Praise Him, all creatures here below:
Praise Him above, ye heav'nly host:

Praise Father, Son, and Holy Ghost.
