fhip of Almighty God, you turn it into a den of white, masked, frantic devils, with whom you worship you know not what. But because God he is a Spirit of love, righteousness, and true holiness, and because neither of these three are the foundation of your paltry painted manner of fcandal called worship, though it is, chofen of multitudes of the great and wife men of this world, yet of God the Lord Almighty it is fully denied and flatly rejected. Take heed to yourselves therefore whom you worship, be cause fatan he is very fubtil; while to you he becomes as an angel of light, so he strives to counterfeit the worship, and placeth himself in oppofition to God, and fo by deception, to draw men from the truth, by corrupting their hearts and fhewing them the pomps and glorious founds of this world. And fo he turneth them to him, and fondly they worship him, they worship the devil, because they know not God, and therefore they are led by fin and the devil. And fo this parable is well concluded by Jefus of Nazareth, the king of all the good preachers of God, and thus he fayeth unto you, Luke xvi. 15. " God knoweth your hearts, for that which is highly efteemed amongft men, is abomination in the fight of God." But the good application of this parable it should bring the godly, by the Spirit of God directed, to have meek and lowly thoughts

thoughts of themfelves, and fo to confider that vast lump of falling nature, and profane profesfing finners from which the God of all grace he hath taken us, and faved us, for we are saved by the power of God unto falvation. And therefore, with Pfalm lxxviii. 7, 8. we fet our hope on God, and not forget thefe his great and wonderful works in the children of men. And fo, while we are in this life, daily we pray to God to keep us conftant in the good old way, the way of obedience, ver. 8, and not ungratefully fay to God, we will be of our father's religion, left we should be found to receive our reward in judgment at last, as a rebellious generation, a wicked generation, that fet not their heart right with God, whose spirits was not faithful to God.

Then this falvation fhall comfort all the bleft; Through this vain life then, with the faints at reft,

Then we fhall praise our God, who kept us every day,

While others came and heard and fell away,
In this our fong of Mofes and the Lamb,
Shall be to worship God the glorious great
I AM.

And fay, by grace we are fav'd, his word was

food;

Our fouls were fed and liv'd, anew to God.

We

We thank God, in our flesh Chrift our brother

dear

Fulfill'd the law, and made our title clear.
To every good that God hath given

For our fouls and bodies here, and our eternal life in heaven,

God is our Father, a bleffing known to few. Chrift Jefus is our Brother and our Saviour too, The Holy Ghoft our Comforter tells us God's our friend,

WHEN TIME

AND ALL THIS GORGEOUS

GLOBE SHALL END.
