The passover instituted, The first born flain, every man according to his eating ven found in your houfes: for whofshall make your count for the lamb. foever eateth that which is leavened, 5 Your lamb shall be without ble-even that foul fhall be cut off from mish, a male of the first year: ye shall the congregation of Ifrael, whether take it out from the sheep, or from

he be a stranger, or born in the land. 20 Ye shall eat nothing leavened: in all your habitations shall ye cat

6 And ye fhall keep it up until the fourteenth day of the fame month: unleavened bread. and the whole affembly of the congregation of Ifrael shall kill it in the evening.

7 And they shall take of the blood, and ftrike it on the two fide pofts and on the upper door poft of the houses, wherein they shall eat it.

8 And they fhall eat the flesh in that night, roaft with fire, and unleavened bread; and with bitter berbs they shall eat it.

9 Eat not of it raw, nor fodden at all with water, but roaft with fire; his head with his legs, and with the purtenance thereof.

10 And ye shall let nothing of it remain until the morning; and that which remaineth of it until the morning ye shall burn with fire.

II And thus shall ye eat it; with your loins girded, your shoes on your feel, and your staff in your hand; and ye shall eat it in hafte: it is the LORD's paffover.

12 For I will pass through the land of Egypt this night, and will fmite all the first born in the land of Egypt, both man and beaft; and against all the gods of Egypt I will execute judgment: I am the LORD.

13 And 'he blood shall be to you for a token upon the houfes where ye are: and when I see the blood, I will país over you, and the plague shall not be upon you to destroy you, when I fmite the land of Egypt.

14 And this day shall be unto you for a memorial; and ye shall keep it a feaft to the LORD throughout your generations; ye fhall keep it a feaft by an ordinance for ever.

21 Then Mofes called for all the elders of lfrael, and faid unto them, Draw out, and take you a lamb ac cording to your families, and kill the pafiover.

22 And ye shall take a bunch of hyffop, and dip it in the blood that is in the bason, and strike the lintel and the two fide pofts with the blood that is in the bafon; and none of you shall go out at the door of his houfe until the morning.

23 For the LORD will pass through to finite the Egyptians; and when he feeth the blood upon the lintel, and on the two fide posts, the LORD will pass over the door, and will not fuffer the deftroyer to come in unto your houses to fmite you.

24 And ye shall observe this thing for an ordinance to thee and to thy fons for ever,

25 And it shall come to pass, when ye be come to the land which the LORD will give you, according as he hath promifed, that ye thall keep this fervice.

26 And it shall come to pafs, when your children shall fay unto you, What mean ye by this fervice?

27 That ye shall fay, It is the facrifice of the LORD's paffover, who paffed over the houses of the chil dren of Ifrael in Egypt, when he fmote the Egyptians, and delivered our houfes. And the people bowed the head and worthipped.

28 And the children of Ifrael went away, and did as the LORD had commanded Mofes and Aaron, fo did they.

10 Thou shalt therefore keep this ordinance in his feafon from year to year.

11 And it shall be when the LORD shall bring thee into the land of the Canaanites, as he fware unto thee and to thy fathers, and shall give it thee,

12 That thou shalt fet apart unto the LORD all that openeth the matrix, and every firftling that cometh of a beaft which thou hast; the males shal! be the LORD's.

13 And every firstling of an ass thou shalt redeem with a lamb; and if thou wilt not redeem it, then thou shalt break his neck and all the first born

CHAP. XIV.

8 And with the blaft of thy noftrils the waters were gathered together, the floods ftood upright as an heap, and the depths were congealed in the heart of the fea.

9. The enemy faid, I will purfue, 1 will overtake, I will divide the fpoil; my luft shall be fatisfied upon them; I will draw my fword, my hand shati deftroy them.

20 And Miriam the prophetess, the fifter of Aaron, took a timbrel in her hand; and all the women went out after her with timbrels and with dances.

21 And Miriam answered them, Sing ye to the LORD, for he hath triumphed gloriously; the horfe and his rider hath he thrown into the sea.

22 So Mofes brought Ifrael from the Red fea, and they went out into the wilderness of Shur; and they went three days in the wilderness, and found no water.

23 And when they came to Marah, they could not drink of the waters of Marah, for they were bitter: therefore the name of it was called Marah. 24 And the people murmured against Mofes, faying, What shall we drink? And he ried unto the LORD; and the LORD shewed him a tree, which when he had caft into the waters, the waters were made fweet: there he made for them a ftatute and an ordinance, and there he proved them

26 And faid, If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the LORD thy ORD thy God, and wilt do that which is right in his light, and wilt give ear to his commandments, and keep all his ftatutes, 1 will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am the LORD that healeth thee.

27 And they came to Elim, where Quails and manna fent. EXODUS. The manna described, were twelve wells of water, and three- wildernessther elaya small round thing, fcore and ten palm trees and they asfmall as the hoar froft, on the ground_ encamped there by the waters. CHAP. XVI.

ND they took their journey from Elim, and all the congregation of the children of Ifrael came unto the wilderness of Sin, which is between Elim and Sinai, on the fifteenth day of the second month after their departing out of the land of Egypt.

2 And the whole congregation of the children of Ifrael murmured againft Mofes and Aaron in the wilderness:

3 And the children of Ifrael faid unto then, Would to God we had died by the hand of the LORD in the land of Egypt, when we fat by the flesh pots, and when we did eat bread to the full; for ye have brought us forth into this wilderness, to kill this whole affembly with hunger.

15 And when the children of Ifrael faw it, they faid one to another, It is manna: forthey wift not what it was. And Moses said unto them, This is the bread which the LORD hath given you to eat.

169 Thisisthe thing which the LORD hath commanded, Gather of it every man according to his eating, an omer for every man, according tothe number of your persons; take ye every man for them which are in his tents.

17 And the children of Ifrael did fo and gathered, fome more, fome less.

18 And when they did mete it with an omer, he that gathered much had nothing over, and he that gathered little had no lack: they gathered every man according to his eating.

19 And Mofes faid, Let no man leave

4. Then faid the LORD unto Mofes, of it till the morning. Behold, I will rain bread from heaven 20 Notwithstanding they hearkened

for you; and the people shall go out and gather a certain rate every day, that I may prove them, whether they will walk in my law, or no.

5 And it shall come to pafs, that on the fixth day, they shall prepare that which they bring in; and it shall be twice as much as they gather daily.

6 And Mofes and Aaron faid unto all the children of Ifrael, At even, then ye shall know that the LORD hath brought you out from the land of Egypt:

not unto Mofes; but some of them left of it until the morning, and it bred worms, and ftank: and Mofes was wroth with them.

21 And they gathered it every morning, every man according to his eating: and when the fun waxed hot, it melted.

22 And it came to pafs, that on the fixth day they gathered twice as much bread, two omers for one man: and ail the rulers of the congregation came and told Mofes.

7 And in the morning, then ye shall see the glory of the LORD; for that he beareth your murmurings against the LORD: and what are we, that ye mur-unto the LORD: bake that which ye

23 And he faid unto them, This is that which the Lord bath faid, To morrow is the rest of the holy fabbath

13 And it came to pafs, that at even the quails came up, and covered the camp: and in the morning the dew lay round about the hoft.

14 And when the dew that lay was gone up, behold, upon the face of the

feventh day for to gather, and they found none.

28 And the LORD faid unto Mofes, How long refute ye to keep my com. mandments and my laws?

29 See, for that the LORD hath given you the fabbath, therefore he giveth you on the fixth day the bread of two days: abide ye every man in bis place. let no man go out of his place on the seventh day.

30 So the people refted on the feventh day.

31 And the house of Ifrael catted the name thereof Manna: and it rous like coriander feed, white, and the talte of it was like wafers made with honey.

32 And Mofes faid, This is the thing
