CHAP. XXIX.

3 And thou half put them into one basket, and bring them in the basket, with the bullock and the two rams. 4 And Aaron and his fons thou fhalt bring unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, and halt wash them with water.

5 And thou shalt take the garments, and put upon Aaron the coat, and the robe of the ephod, and the ephod, and the breastplate, and gird him with the curious girdle of the ephod :

6 And thou shalt put the mitre upon his head, and put the holy crown upon the mitre.

7Then halt thou take the anointing oil, and pour it upon his head, and anoint him.

8 And thou shalt bring his fons, and put coats upon them.

9 And thoufhalt gird them with girdles, Aaron and his fons, and put the bonnets on them: and the priest's office fhall be their's for a perpetual tatute: and thou shalt confecrate Aaron and his fons.

10 And thou shalt caufe a bullock to be brought before the tabernacle of the congregation and Aaron and his ions fhall put their hands upon the head of the bullock. K

11 And thou shalt kill the bullock before the LORD by the door of the tabernacle of the congregation.

12 And thou shalt take of the blood of the bullock, and put it upon the horns of the altar with thy finger, and pour all the blood befide the bottom

of the altar.

13 And thou shalt take all the fat that covereth the inwards, and the cal that is above the liver, and the two kidneys, and the fat that is upon then, and burn them upon the altar. 14 But the fleth of the bullock, and his ikin, and his dung, fhalt thou burn with fire without the camp: it is a fin offering.

15 Thou shalt alfo take one ram; and Aaron and his fons fhall put their hands upon the head of the ram.

16 And thou shalt flay the ram, and theu fhalt take his blood, and fprinkle il round about upon the altar.

17 And thou fhalt cut the ram in pixs, and wash the inwards of him, and his legs, and put them unto his Jancos, and unto his head.

18 And thou fhalt burn the whole ram upon the altar: it is a burnt offering unto the LORD: it is a fweet favour, an offering made by fire unto the LORD.

25. And thou shalt receive them of their hands, and burn them upon the altar for a burnt offering, for a fweet favour before the LORD: it is an offering made by fire unto the LORD

26 And thou thalt take the breaft of the ram of Aaron's confecration, and wave it for a wave offering before the LORD: and it fhall be thy part.

27 And thou shalt fanctify the breaft of the wave offering, and the fhoulder of the heave offering, which is waved and which is heaved up, of the ram of the confecration, even of that which is for Aaron, and of that which is for his fons:

28 And it fhall be Aaron's and ti fons by a ftatute for ever from the children of Ifrael: for it is an heave offering: and it fhall be an heave offering from the children of Ifracltf the facrifice of their peace offerings, even their heave offering unto the LORD.

20 Andthe boly garments of Aaron fhall be his fons after him, to be anointed therein, and to be confe crated in them.

30 And that fon that is pricft in his ftead fhall put them on feven days, when he cometh into the tabernacle of the congregation to minifter in the holy place.

31 And thou shalt take the ram of the confecration, and feethe his fleth in the holy place.

32 And Aaron and his fons fhall eat the flesh of the ram, and the bread that fr in the basket, by the door of the tabernacle of the congregation.

33 And they fhall eat those things wherewith the atonement was made, to confecrate and to fandtify them! but a stranger thall not eat thereof, because they are holy.

9 Ye fhall offer no ftrange incenfe thereon, nor burnt facrifice, nor meat offering; neither fhall ye pour drink offering thereon.

EXODUS.

2 And Aaron faid unto them, Break off the golden ear rings, which are in the ears of your wives, of your fons, and of your daughters, and bring them

unto me.

3. And all the people brake off the golden ear-rings which were in their ears, and brought them unto Aaron.

4 And he received them at their band, and fashioned it with a graving] tool, after he had made it a molten calf and they faid, Thefe be thy gods, O Ifrael, which brought thee up out of the land of Egypt.

5 And when Aaron faw it, he built an altar before it; and Aaron made proclamation, and iaid, To-morrow is feait to the LORD.

6 And they rofe up early on the morrow, and offered burnt offerings, and brought peace offerings; and the people fat down to eat and to drink, and rofe up to play.

17 And when Joshua heard the noife of the people as they fhouted, he faid unto Mofes, There is a noife of war in the camp.

18 And he faid, It is not the voice of them that thout formaitery, neither is it the voice of them that cry for being overcome: but the noise of them that fing do I hear.

19¶ And it came to país, as foon as he came nigh unto the camp, that he faw the calf, and the dancing: and Mofes' anger waxed hot, and he caft the tables out of his hands, and brake them beneath the mount.

20 And he took the calf which they had made, and burnt it in the fire, and ground it to powder, and strawed it upon the water, and made the children of Ifrael drink of it.

21 And Mofes faid unto Aaron, What did this people unto thee, that thou haft brought fo great a fin upon them?

7 And the LORD faid unto Moies, 22 And Aaron faid,Let not the anger Go, get thee down; for thy people, of my lord wax hot : thou knoweft the which thou broughteft out of the land people, that they are fet on mifchief. of Egypt, have corrupted themselves: 23 For they faid unto me, Make us 8 They have turned afide quickly gods which fhall go before us: for as out of the way which I commanded for this Mofes, the man that brought them: they have made them a moiten us up out of the land of Egypt, we wot calf, and have worshipped it, and not what is become of him. have facrificed thereunto, and faid, Thefe be thy gods, O Ifrael, which have brought thee up out of the land of Egypt.

10 Now therefore let me alone, that iny wrath may wax hot against them, and that I may confume them: and will make of thee a great nation.

11 And Motes befought the LORD his God, and faid, LORD, why doth thy wrath wax hot againfi thy people, which thou haft brought forth out of the land of Egypt with great power, and with a mighty hand?

12 Wherefore thould the Egyptians speak and fay, For mifchief did he Fring them out, to flay them in the mountains, and to confume them from the face of the earth? Turn from thy fierce wrath, and repent of this evil againft thy people.

13 Remember Abraham, Ifaac, and Ifrael, thy fervants, to whom thou fwareft by thine own felf, and faidit unto them, I will multiply your feed as the ftars of heaven, and all this land that I have fpoken of will I give unto your feed, and they hall inherit

for ever.

14 And the LORD repented of the evil which he thought to do unto his people.

15 And Mofes turned, and went down from the mount, and the two tables of the teftimony were in his hand; the tables were written on both their fides: on the one fide and on the other were they written.

16 And the tables were the work of God, and the waiting as the writing of Cod, graven upon the tables.

24 And I faid unto them, Whofoever hath any gold, let them break it off. So they gave it me: then I caft it into the fire, and there came out this calf.

25 And when Mofes faw that the people avere naked; (for Aaron hal made them naked unto their thame among their enemies :)

26 Then Mofes ftood in the gate of the camp, and faid, Who is on the LORD's fide? Let him come unto me. And all the fons of Levi gathered themfelves together unto him.

27 And he faid unto them, Thus faith the LORD God of Ifrael, Pat every man his fword by his fide, and go in and out from gate to gate throughout the camp, and flay every man his brother, and every man his companion, and every man his neighbour.

28 And the children of Levi did according to the word of Mofes and there fell of the people that day about

three thousand men,

29 For Mofes had faid, Confecrate yourselves to day to the LORD, even every man upon his fon, and upon his brother; that he may below upon you a bleding this day.

30 And it came to pafs on the morrow, that Mofes faid unto the people, Ye have finned a great fin: and now I will go up unto the LORD: perad venture I fhall make an atonement for your fin.

31 And Mofes returned unto the LORD, and faid, Oh, this people have linned a great fin, and have made them gods of gold.

32 Yet now, if thou wilt forgive their fin; and if not, blot me, I pray thee, out of thy book which thou haft written.

33 And the LORD fald unto Mules,

CHAP. XXXIV. The two tables renewed.
The two tables renewed.

Whoever hath finned against me, know whom thou wilt fend with me." Yet thou haft faid, I know thee by name, and thou haft alio found grace in my fight.

34Therefore now go, lead the people Ento the place of which I have spoken us thee: behold, mine Angel fhall go before thee: nevertheless in the day when I vifit, I will visit their fin

35 And the LORD plagued the people, because they made the calf which Aaron made.

CHAP. XXXIU.

13 Now therefore, I pray thee, if I have found grace in thy fight, fhew me now thy way, that i may know thee, that I may find grace in thy fight: and confider that this nation is thy people.

14 And he faid, My prefence shall go with thee, and I will give thee reft. 15 And he faid unto him, If thy prefence go not with me, carry us not up hence.

A ND the LORD faid unto Mofes, Depart, and go up hence, thou and the people which thou haft brought up out of the land of Egypt, 16 For wherein fhall it be known. unto the land which I fware unto here that I and thy people have found Abraham, to Ifaac, and to Jacob, grace in thy fight? Is it not in that faying, Unto thy feed will I give it: thou goeft with us? CHAP. XXXIV.

9 And it came to pafs, as Mofes entered into the tabernacle, the cloudy pillar deicended, and flood at the door of the tabernacle, and the LORD talked with Moles.

Hew thee two tables of ftone like unto the first: and I will write upon these tables the words that were in the firit tables, which thou brakeft.

2 And be ready in the morning, and come up in the morning unto mount Sinai, and prefent thyself there to me in the top of the mount.

3 And no man fhall come up with thee, neither let any man be feen throughout all the mount: neither let the flocks nor herds feed before that mount.

10 And all the people faw the cloudy pillar fland at the tabernacle door: 4 And he hewed two tables of stone and all the people rofe up and wor-like unto the firft: and Mofes rofe fhipped, every man in his tent door. up early in the morning, and went up 11 And the LORD fpake unto Mofes unto mount Sinai, as the LORD had face to face, as a man fpeaketh unto commanded him, and took in his has friend. And he turned again into hand the two tables of stone, the camp: but his servant Joshua, the fun of Nun, a young man, departed But out of the tabernacle,
