God's covenant.

EXODUS.

Of the fabbath. fong fuffering, and abundant in good-harveft, and the feaft of ingathering nefs and truth; at the year's end.

7. Keeping mercy for thoufands, 23 Thrice in the year fhall all your forgiving iniquity and tranfgreffion men children appear before the LORD and fin, and that will by no means God, the God of Ifrael. clear the guilty; vifiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children, and upon the children's children, unto the third and to the fourth generation. 8 And Mofes made haite, and bowed his head toward the earth, and worshipped.

9 And he faid, If now I have found grace in thy fight, O LORD, let my Lord, I pray thee, go among us; for it is a ftiffnecked people; and pardon our iniquity and our fin, and take us for thine inheritance.

10 And he faid, Behold, I make a covenant: before all thy people I will do marvels, fuch as have not been done in all the earth, nor in any nation: and all the people among which thou art fhall fee the work of the LORD: for it is a terrible thing that I will do with thee.

II Obferve thou that which I command thee this day: behold, I drive out before thee the Amorite, and the Canaanite, and the Hittite, and the Perizzite, and the Hivite, and the Jebulite.

12 Take heed to thyfelf, left thou make a covenant with the inhabitants of the land whither thou goeft, left it be for a fnare in the midft of thee:

13 But ye shall deftroy their altars, break their images, and cut down their groves:

14 For thou fhalt worship no other god for the LORD, whofe name is Jealous, is a jealous God:

15 Left thou make a covenant with the inhabitants of the land, and they go a whoring after their gods, and do facrifice unto their gods, and one call thee, and thou eat of his facrifice;

16 And thou take of their daughters unto thy fons, and their daughters go a whoring after their gods, and make thy fons go a whoring after their gods. 17 Thou shalt make thee no molten gods.

18 The feaft of unleavened bread fhalt thou keep. Seven days fhalt thou eat unleavened bread, as i commanded thee, in the time of the month Abib: for in the month Abib thou cameft out from Egypt.

27 And the LORD faid unto Mofes, Write thou thefe words: for after the tenor of these words I have made a covenant with thee and with Ifrael.

28 And he was there with the LORD forty days and forty nights; he did neither eat bread, nor drink water. And he wrote upon the tables the words of the covenant, the ten com mandments.

29 And it came to pafs, when Mofes came down from mount Sinai with the two tables of teftimony in Mofes hand, when he came down from the mount, that Mofes wift not that the fkin of his face fhone while he talked with him.

30 And when Aaron and all the chil dren of Ifrael faw Mofes, behold, the fkin of his face fhone; and they were' afraid to come nigh him.

31 And Mofes called unto them; and Aaron and all the rulers of the congregation returned unto him: and Mofes talked with them.

32 And afterward all the children of frael came nigh: and he gave them in commandment all that the LORD had fpoken with him in mount Sinai.

33 And till Mufes had done fpeaking with them, he put a vail on his face.

34 But when Mofes went in before the LORD to fpeak with him, he took the vail off, until he came out. And he came out, and fpake unto the children of Ifrael that which he was commanded.

35 And the children of Ifrael faw the face of Mofes, that the skin of Mofes face fhone: and Moses put the vail upon his face again, until he went in to fpeak with him.

And oil for the light, and fpices for anointing oil, and for the fweet incense,

10 And every wife hearted among you hall come, and make all that the Leas bath commanded;

20 Andall the congregation of the children of Ifrael departed from the prefence of Mofes.

21 And they came, every one whofe heart ftirred him up, and every one whom his fpirit made willing, and they brought the LORD's offering to the work of the tabernacle of the ongregation, and for all his fervice, and for the holy garments.

XXXVI. The offerings delivered. whom was found fhittim wood for any work of the fervice, brought it.

25 And all the women that were wife hearted did fpin with their hands, and brought that which they had fpun, both of blue, and of purple, and of fcarlet, and of fine linen.

26 And all the women whofe heart ftirred them up in wisdom fpun goats' bair.

27 And the rulers brought onyx ftones, and ftones to be fet, for the ephod, and for the breastplate;

28 And fpice, and oil for the light, and for the anointing oil, and for the fweet incenfe.

29 The children of Ifrael brought a willing offering unto the LORD, every man and woman, whofe heart made them willing to bring for all manner of work, which the LORD had commanded to be made by the hand of Mofes.

30 AndMofes faid unto the children of Ifrael, See, the LORD hath called by name Bezaleel the fon of Uri, the fon of Hur, of the tribe of Judah;

31 And he hath filled him with the fpirit of God, in wisdom, in under ftanding, and in knowledge, and in all manner of workmanship;

32 And to devife curious works, to work in guld, and in filver, and in brafs,

33 And in the cutting of ftones, fet them, and in carving of wood, to make any manner of cunning work.

34 And he hath put in his heart that he may teach, both he, and Aholiab, the fon of Ahifamach, of the tribe of Dan,

35 Them hath he filled with wisdom of heart, to work all manner of work, of the engraver, and of the cunning workman, and of the embroiderer, in blue, and in purple, in fcarlet, and in fine linen, and of the weaver, even of them that do any work, and of thole that devife cunning work.

CHAP. XXXVI. THEN wrought Bezaleel and Aho1 liab, and every wife hearted man, in whom the LORD put wisdom and understanding to know how to work all manner of work for the fervice of the fanctuary, according to all that the LORD had commanded.

2 And he made the horns thereaf on the four corners of it; the horns thereof were of the fame: and he overlaid it with brass.

3 And he made all the veffels of the altar, the pots, and the shovels, and the bafons, and the flesh hooks, and the firepans: all the veffels there of made he of brass.

4. And he made for the altar a brafen grate of net work, under the compafs thereof, beneath unto the midst of it.

5 And he caft four rings for the four ends or the grate of braís, to be places for the ftaves.

6 And he made the ftaves of fhittimwood, and overlaid them with brass.

7 And he put the ftaves into the rings on the fides of the altar, to bear it withal: he made the altar hollow with boards.

26 A bekah for every man, that is, half a fhekel, after the fhekel of the fanctuary, for every one that went to be numbered, from twenty years old and upward, for fix hundred thousand and three thoufand and five hundred and fifty men.

7 And he put them on the fhoulders of the ephod, that they bould be ones for a memorial to the children of If rael; as the LORD commanded Mofes.

8 And he made the breaft plate of cunning work, like the work of the ephod, of gold, blue, and purple, and fcarlet, and fine twined linen.

9 It was four fquare; they made the breaftplate double: a pan was the length thereof, and a fpan the breadth thereof, being doubled.

10 And they fet in it four rows of flones: the first row was a fardius, a topaz, and a carbuncle: this was the firft row.
