6 How sweet the prospect is! It cheers each pilgrim breast: We're trav'ling thro' the wilderness, And soon shall take our rest. UNITY OF JESUS' CHURCH. 76. 1 HAPPY our souls to Jesus join'd, While in thy ways of grace we find 2 The church triumphant in thy love, 3 Thee, in thy glorious realms, they praise, 4 The holy to the holiest leads; 5 There, one with all the blood-bought race, We shall for ever be; And sing the vict'ries of thy grace L CELESTIAL VISIONS. 77. ET us surmount these lower skies, There springs of hallow'd pleasures rise, 2 There faith beholds, with vast delight, Th' eternal Three in One; And strong affections fix our sight On Christ th' exalted Son. 3 His promise stands for ever sure; 4 We would not here be strangers still Where we for ever hope to dwell, 78. 1 NOT Have we beheld the Lord; Yet we rejoice, and love thy name, 2 When faith brings near the sight Then, Lord! with rich and vast delight G 3 And when we taste thy love, 4 Shine, Lord! and let us know 5 Then, as in bliss we rise, We'll rise in grateful song; 79. 1 FOR a sweet inspiring ray The blissful realms where Jesus reigns! 2 There, low before his glorious throne, Adoring Saints and Angels fall; And, in delightful worship, own His smile their bliss, their heav'n, their all. 3 Immortal glories crown his head, 4 He smiles! they tune their lofty songs Ten thousand thousand joyful tongues 5 There all the fav'rites of the Lamb Our interest in that blissful place! 1 L CELESTIAL PROSPECT. 80. ORD Jesus! warm each languid heart; And let the joys of heav'n impart Their fervour to our song. 2 There, on a throne of dazzling light, On all the heav'nly minds. 3 There we, the followers of the Lamb, 4 There we, from sin for ever free, 5 Lord, fill our hearts with praise and love; Our feeble notes inspire; Till in thy blissful courts above, 81. LORD! when shall we see thee array'd, With glory and light as above? The King in his beauty display'd- 2 With thee, we on Sion shall stand; 3 How happy thy people, who dwell No sickness or sorrow shall prove : And then from the body set free; And then to the city receive. |
