And decks each plant and flower we view,
With pearly glittering drops;

But sweeter far the scene

Of Zion's holy hill,

When there the dew of youth is seen,
Its freshness to distil.

Declare thy name from pole to pole.

4. Spring showers descending from above,
Bear down glad tidings of thy love,
And every blossom on the tree,
Bespeaks our gratitude to thee.
