TEMPTATION.

Deliverance from the power of temptation is specially promised to those who put their trust in the Lord.

"In all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us." Rom. viii. 37.

"God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape that ye may be able to bear it." 1 Cor.

x. 13.

"My grace is sufficient for thee; for my strength is made perfect in weakness." 2 Cor. xii. 9.

"In that he himself hath suffered, being tempted, he is able to succour them that are tempted." Heb. ii.

"The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations.' 2 Peter ii. 9.

"Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them; because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world." 1 John iv. 4.

SICKNESS AND TROUBLE.

"The Lord will strengthen him upon the bed of languishing; thou wilt make all his bed in his sick ness.' "Psalm xli. 3.

"His anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning." Psalm
