18 And Pharaoh called Abram, and said, What is this that thou hast done unto me? why didst thou not tell me that she was thy wife?

2 And I will make of thee a great nation, thy way. and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing:

CHAP. XIII.

ND Abram went up out of Egypt, he, dal king of nations;

5 And Lot also, which went with Abram, had flocks, and herds, and tents.

6 And the land was not able to bear them, that they might dwell together: for their substance was great, so that they could not dwell together.

7 And there was a strife between the berdmen of Abram's cattle and the herdmen . of Lot's cattle. And the Canaanite and the Perizzite dwelt then in the land.

8 And Abram said unto Lot, Let there be no strife, I pray thee, between me and thee, and between my herdmen and thy herdmen; for we be brethren.

9 Is not the whole land before thee? Separate thyself, I pray thee, from me: if thou wilt take the left hand, then I will go to the right; or if thou depart to the right hand, then I will go to the left.

121 And when the sun was going down, a deep sleep fell upon Abram; and lo, an horror of great darkness fell upon him.

13 And he said unto Abram, Know of a surety that thy seed shall be a stranger in land that is not theirs, and shall serve them; and they shall afflict them four hundred years:

14 And also that nation, whom they shall serve, will I judge; and afterward shall they come out with great substance.

15 And thou shalt goto thy fathers in peace; thou shalt be buried in a good old age.

6 But Abram said unto Sarai, Behold, thy maid is in thy hand; do to her as it pleaseth thee. And when Sarai dealt hardly with her, she fled from her face.

7¶ And the angel of the LORD found her by a fountain of water in the wilderness, by the fountain in the way to Shur.

8 And he said, Hagar, Sarai's maid, whence camest thou? and whither wilt thou go? And she said, I flee from the face of my mistress Sarai.

9 And the angel of the LORD said unto her, Return to thy mistress, and submit thyself

under her hands.

10 And the angel of the LORD said unto her, I will multiply thy seed exceedingly, that it shall not be numbered for multitude.

11 And the angel of the LORD said unto her, Behold, thou art with child, and shalt bear a son, and shalt call his name Ishmael; because the LORD hath heard thy affliction.

12 And he will be a wiid man; his hand will be against every man, and every man's hand against him: and he shall dwell in the presence of all his brethren.

13 And she called the name of the LORD that spake unto her, Thou God seest me: for she said, Have I also here looked after him that seeth me?

15 And Hagar bare Abram a son Abram called his son's name, which Hagar bare, Ishmael.

16 And Abram was fourscore and six years old, when Hagar bare Ishmael to Abram. CHAP. XVII.

5 Neither shall thy name any more be called Abram, but thy name shall be Abraham: for a father of many nations have made thee.

6 And I will make thee exceeding fruitful, and I will make nations of thee, and kings shall come out of thee.

15 Then Sarah denied, saying, I laughed not: for she was afraid. And he said, Nay; but thou didst laugh.

16 And the men rose up from thence, and looked toward Sodom: and Abraham went with them, to bring them on the way.

179 And the LORD said, Shall I hide from Abraham that thing which I do;

18 Seeing that Abraham shall surely become a great and mighty nation, and all the nations of the earth shall be blessed in him?

31 And he said, Behold now, I have taken upon me to speak unto the LORD: Peradventure there shall be twenty found there. And he said, I will not destroy it for twenty's

7 And said, I pray you, brethren, do not so wickedly.

8 Behold now, I have two daughters which have not known man; let me, I pray

21 Peradventure there be fifty righteous within the city: wilt thou also destroy and not spare the place for the fifty righteous you, bring them out unto you, and do ye to that are therein? them as is good in your eyes: only unto these men do nothing; for therefore came they under the shadow of my roof.

25 That be far from thee to do after this manner, to slay the righteous with the wicked; and that the righteous should be as the 9 And they said, Stand back.
