In going over the Sermons, after all were thrown off, a few inaccuracies were discovered in the divisions, in the punctuation, and one or two literal ones, which it was not thought necessary to mark. The following are a little more material.

MEMORY OF THE RIGHTEOUS.
(Preached after the Interment of the Earl of Leven, June 20. 1802.)
IN other words, They shall long be remembered with honour. The son of David celebrates also the worthy name of the righteous. “ The memory of the just is blest.” “ A good name is rather to be chosen than great riches, and loving favour rather than silver and gold.” It is pleasant and comfortable. “ The light of the eyes rejoices the heart, and a good report maketh the bones fat.” In these, and similar aphorisms of the royal authors, is strongly declared the preciousness of a good reputation.
