God: Observe me, and hear me, Jehovah, my Lest mine enemies say, "I have vanquish'd And my foe rejoice at my fall. III. 5 But as for me, I trust in Thy mercy : 6 My heart exults in Thy salvation. I will sing to Jehovah, who hath dealt with me bountifully: Yea, I will psalmodize to the Name of Jehovah the Highest. STROPHE DIVISION 2. 2. 2. 1 PSALM XIV. TO THE CHIEF MUSICIAN. A PSALM OF DAVID. I. THE depraved hath said in his heart, "There is no God." They have made their doings corrupt and abominable : There is none that doeth good. 3 4 A wise one, a seeker of God. The whole is gone: they are rancid together: There is none that doeth good : Not even one. II. Shall not all who work iniquity Eating up my people as bread, They call not upon Jehovah. 6 The righteous generation. Will ye frustrate the poor man's counsel, III. 7 O that the salvation of Israel were given from Sion! When Jehovah restores His captive people, Shall Jacob exult, and Israel be glad. STROPHE DIVISION 3. 3. 1.=7. PSALM XV. A PSALM OF DAVID. I. 1 JEHOVAH, Who shall abide in Thy tent? Who dwell in Thy holy hill? 4 5 Against his neighbour. III. In his eyes the vile is despised: But he honours them that fear Jehovah. He swears to his hurt, and changes not : And takes not a bribe against the innocent. Shall not be moved for ever. STROPHE DIVISION 1. 2. 2. C 1 2 PSALM XVI. A SECRET OF DAVID. I. PRESERVE me, O God; for I make Thee my refuge. II. My soul, thou hast said to Jehovah, "I have no good out of Thee :" 3 In common with saints upon earth, Them and the excellent, In whom is all my delight. III. 4 Their sorrows are many, who purchase another, I will not pour out their libations of blood: Nor will I take up their names on my lips. 5 Jehovah is the Portion Of my heritage, and my Cup: IV. 6 The lines are fallen to me in bliss: Yea, mine is a goodly heritage. 7 I will bless Jehovah, who counsels me : V. 8 I set Jehovah before me constantly: 9 Because He is on my right hand, I shall not be moved. Therefore my heart is glad, And my glory rejoices: My flesh also rests securely. VI. 10 For Thou wilt not leave my soul in Hades : Nor suffer Thy Holy One To see corruption. 11 The path of life Thou wilt make known to me: Fulness of joys in Thy presence: At Thy right hand pleasures for ever.
