SONG I.

EE how Jehovah's grace doth rife,
Outfhining all the thoughts of man;
Sov'reign, preventing, all furprize
To him that neither will'd nor ran;

2 Grand as the bofom whence it flow'd,
Kind as the heart that gave it vent,
Rich as the gift that God beftow'd,
And lovely like the Chrift he fent.

3 Sin reign'd to death, but over fin
And death, with more imperial fway,
Grace fpreads her more extenfive reign,
And doth eternal life convey.

4 Grace, by a righteoufnefs, doth reign, Wrought in the bloody death of God,*. Where fin is spoil'd; fo grace doth reign In all the worth of divine blood.

5

Infinite grace,

6 Life more abundant we poffefs,
O fecond man! than Adam loft:
An earthly profpect + crown'd his blifs,
We reigning heav'nly pleafures boast.

7 Yea, Lord, as thine obedience, free,
And divine blood, excel by far
Man's due, abstaining from one tree;
So great's the life thy children fhare.

8 We, bowing, fing thy death, so strong
As all our fouls from death defends.
Shout, ye redeem'd; for here your fong
Begins, and never, never ends..

That is, of him who is God and man in one perfon.

†The profpect of continuing to enjoy communion with God on earth, as the creator and preferver of all things, and the giver of all good.

SONG II.

JESUS, in thee our eyes behold

Than the rich gems and polish'd gold
The fons of Aaron wore.

2 They first their own burnt-off'rings brought,
To purge themselves from fin;
Thy life was pure, without a fpot,
And all thy nature clean. -

3 Fresh blood as conftant as the day,
Was on their altar fpilt;

But thy one off'ring takes away
For ever all our guilt.

4 Their priesthood ran through fev'ral hands,
For mortal was their race;
Thy never-changing office ftands,
Eternal as thy days.

5 Once in the circuit of a year,
With blood, but not his own,

Aaron within the vail appears,

Before the golden throne:
