passing of dear ones the assurance that the dead are safe in thy keeping, and that in Thy good time hearts that are sundered here shall be reunited in that country of their hopes where Thou shalt wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain; for the former things are passed away. FOR INTERNATIONAL PEACE

LMIGHTY God, Ruler of the nations, we entreat Thee in this hour of the world's anguish to have pity upon us and upon all men. Thy children faint for fear and for expectation of the things which are coming on the earth. In Thee is our only hope. Move Thou upon the wills of men and constrain the peoples in the paths of unity and peace. Hast Thou not called us to share with Thee in the order and government of the world? Grant us wisdom, O Lord, that we may discern and overcome or root out the causes of conflict, the things that make for international hate and jealousy. Quicken our consciences that we may feel the sin and shame of war. Inspire us with courage and

faith that we may lift up our voices against private greed, social injustice, and the aggressions of the strong on the weak, and whatsoever else works enmity, and divides man from man, class from class, nation from nation. Create within us a passion for the reign of righteousness, the spread of brotherhood and good-will among the nations, so that we may hasten. the fulfillment of Thine ancient word; "Nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more." Grant that those in high place may realize the greatness of their responsibility for the use of the power which Thou hast put into their hands so that as far as in them lies, they may advance the cause of justice, mercy and fellowship among the people of the earth.

Be pleased to establish the right and speedily restore a lasting peace on the unshakable foundations of righteousness and brotherhood. And so let the Kingdoms of this world become the Kingdom of our Lord and of His Christ. And unto Thee we would ascribe glory and honor, power and dominion, forever and ever. Amen.

LORD, Giver of all good, we render unto Thee thanks and praise for Thy kindness to this, Thy servant, whom Thou hast raised out of weakness and made to stand strong by Thy love. Thou hast been with him in sickness and in pain. Thou didst withdraw him from the world for a season that Thou mightest speak with him alone. And after his affliction, Thou hast comforted him.
