branch can not bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine, no more can ye, except ye abide in Me.

I am the Vine, ye are the branches: he that abideth in Me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit for without Me ye can do nothing. If a man abide not in Me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and they gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned. If ye abide in Me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.

Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples. As the Father hath loved Me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love. If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love.

These things have I spoken unto you that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full. John xv. 1–11.

HE FAITH OF THE NEW CHURCH IS THIS: There is

One God, in whom is a Divine Trinity; and He is the LORD GOD, the SAVIOUR, JESUS CHRIST.

Saving Faith is to believe in Him as the Redeemer, Regenerator, and Saviour from sin.

The Word of GOD is Divine Truth, revealed to us as a means by which we may distinguish between good

and evil, be delivered from the influence of evil spirits, and be associated with angels and conjoined with the LORD.

We are to shun evil because it is of the devil and from the devil; and do good because it is of GOD and from GOD.

In abstaining from evil and doing good we are to act as of ourselves; at the same time believing and acknowledging that the will, the understanding, and the power to do so, are of the LORD alone.

¶ Then, addressing the Candidates, the Minister shall ask:

Do you acknowledge and receive these doctrines?

Ans. I do.

Do you desire and intend, by the Divine Mercy of the LORD, to live according to them?

Ans. I do.

Then he may say:

be baptized with the Holy Spirit and with Fire. You have been baptized into the name of the Father, of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit ; may you have this baptism spiritually fulfilled in you may the LORD JESUS CHRIST, in whom is the FATHER, the SON, and the HOLY SPIRIT, abide in you, and you in Him; so that you may be brought into his image and likeness, and from Him may bring forth the fruits of righteousness. ¶ Or, he may say:

Then shall be said:

UR FATHER who art in the heavens: Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, as in heaven, so also upon the earth. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts as we also forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation; but deliver us from evil. For thine is the Kingdom, and the Power, and the Glory, forever. Amen.

The Candidates kneeling, the Minister, laying his hands on the head of each, may repeat one or both of the following blessings :
