He afcended into HEAVEN, and intercedes for us at the Right Hand of GOD.

a He that came down from Heaven, to do the Will of the Father which fent him, when he had finished the Work which he gave him to do on the Earth, and had shewed himself alive, after his Paffion, by many infallible Proofs, left the World again, and went to the Father; and, being received up into Heaven, he fits on the Right Hand of God: whom the Heavens must receive, until the times of reftitution of all things, which God hath spoken, by the Mouth of all his holy Prophets, fince the World began.

b When the Son of God had, by himself, purged our Sins, he fat down on the Right Hand of the Majefty on high.

He, being received up into Glory, and fet at the Right Hand of God, in the heavenly Places, maketh Interceffion for us.

d Chrift is not entred into the holy Places, made with Hands, which are the Figures of the true; but into Heaven it felf, now to appear in the Prefence of God for us.

e He hath afcended on high; he hath led Captivity captive; he hath received Gifts for Men; yea, for the Rebellious alfo, that the Lord God might dwell among them.

blany Man fin, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jefus Chrift the Righteous; who, being made an High-Prieft for ever, and, having an unchangeable Priefthood, is able to fave them to the uttermoft, that come unto God by him, feeing he ever liveth to make Interceffion for them. Our Redeemer is ftrong; he fhall throughly plead our Cause.

No Man cometh unto the Father, but by his Son Jefus, who is gone to prepare a Place for us in his Father's Houfe; and he will come again, and receive us unto himself, that where he is, there we may be also.

Which way the HOLY GHOST contributes to our REDEMPTION.

The HOLY GHOST is GOD.

d This is the Eternal Spirit; the Spirit of God, and of Chrift; fent down from Heaven, from the Father.

e The Lord, with whom Mofes fpake, is that Spirit, who is alfo called the Lord Jehovah. f He that lieth to the Holy Ghost, lieth to God.

g What, know you not that your Body is the Temple of the Holy Ghoft, which is in you?

a Whofo

a Whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghoft, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this World, neither in the World to come.

b Mighty Signs and Wonders were wrought by the Power of the Spirit of God.

The Spirit fearcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God, which no Man knoweth, but the Spirit of God.

The extraordinary OPERATIONS of the HOLY GHOST.

a Jefus was conceived of the Holy Ghoft: And when he was baptized, the Heavens were opened unto him, and the Spirit of God defcended, like a Dove, and lighted upon him; and he was full of the Holy Ghost: and, the Spirit of the Lord being upon him, he preached the Gofpel of Peace and Salvation.

e He caft out Devils by the Spirit of God: and, through the Eternal Spirit, he offered himfelf, without fpot, to God.

f After Jefus, through the Holy Ghoft, had given Commandments unto the Apoftles, whom he had chofen, and was taken up from them into Heaven; he fent them another Comforter, which is the Holy Ghoft; even the Spirit of Truth, who was to abide with them for ever, to guide them into all Truth, to teach them all things, to bring all things to their remembrance, whatfoever he had faid unto them, and to fhew them things to come.

a And

a And the Apostles were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and spake with other Tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

b That great Salvation, which at the firft began to be spoken by the Lord, was confirmed unto us by them that heard him; God bearing them witness, both with Signs and Wonders, and with divers Miracles, and Gifts of the Holy Ghoft, according to his own Will.

For, to one was given, by the Spirit, the Word of Wisdom, and Knowledge; to another the Gifts of Healing, by the fame Spirit; to another the Working of Miracles; to another Prophecy to another difcerning of Spirits; to another divers kinds of Tongues; to another the Interpretation of Tongues: but all these wrought that one and the felf-fame Spirit, dividing to every Man severally, as he would.

d Prophecy came not, in old time, by the Will of Man; but Holy Men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.

e The Mystery of Chrift, which, in other Ages, was not made known unto the Sons of Men, was, in thefe laft Days, revealed unto his holy Apostles, and Prophets, by the Spirit.

The common OPERATIONS of the SPIRIT, in BELIEVERS.

f No Man can say that Jefus is the Lord, but by the Holy Ghoft; and no Man, fpeaking by the Spirit of God, calleth Jefus accurfed.

d We have received the Spirit, which is of God, that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.

e It is by the Holy Ghoft, which dwelleth in us, that we are enabled to hold faft the Form of found Words, which we have heard, and to keep all thofe good things which have been committed

to us.

f The Fruit of the Spirit is in all Goodness, Righteousness, and Truth; Love, Joy, Peace, Long-fuffering, Gentleness, Faith, Meekness, and Temperance.

8 Through the Power of the Holy Ghost we abound in Hope, and are filled with all Joy, and Peace in believing; the Love of God being fhed abroad in our Hearts by the Holy Ghoft, which is given unto us.

By the Spirit of God we are ftrengthned with Might, in the inner Man, and, by this 'means, are we rooted and grounded in Love.
