mfBREAD of the world, in mercy broken, 2 p Look on the hearts by sorrow broken, Wine of the soul, in mercy shed, Look on the tears by sinners shed,

By whom the words of life were spoken, cres And be Thy feast to us the token And in whose death our sins are

dead;

That by Thy grace our souls are fed.

Amen.

"Ye do shew the Lord's death till He come."

ITILL He come!" Oh, let the words
Linger on the trembling chords;
Let the little while between
In their goiden light be seen;
Let us think how heaven and home
cres Lie beyond that "till He come."
2 When the weary ones we love
Enter on their rest above,
Seems the earth so poor and vast,
All our life-joy overcast?
dim Hush! be every murmur dumb:
It is only "till He come.'

"

3 cres Clouds and conflicts round us press:
Would we have one sorrow less?
All the sharpness of the cross,
All that tells the world is loss,
dim Death, and darkness, and the tomb
pp Only whisper, "till He come."
4 mf See, the feast of love is spread !
Drink the wine and break the bread!
Sweet memorials, till the Lord
Call us round His heavenly board;
Some from earth, from glory some,
cres Severed only "till He come.
Amen.

ImfHERE, O my Lord, I see Thee fáce to face;
Here would I touch and handle things unseen,
cres Here grasp with firmer hand the etérnal grace,
dim And all my weariness upón Thee lean.

2 mf Here would I feed upon the bread of God,
Here drink with Thee the royal wine of heaven,
Here would I lay aside each earthly load,
Here taste afresh the calm of sín forgiven.

3mf This is the hour of banquet and of song;
This is the heavenly table spread for me;
Here let me feast, and, feasting, still prolong
The brief, bright hour of fellowship with Thee.

4mfToo soon we rise; the symbols disappear;
The feast, though not the love, is pást and gone;
The bread and wine remove, but Thou art here;
cres Nearer than ever; still my shield and sun.
5mf I have no help but Thine; nor do I need
Another arm save Thine to léan upon;
It is enough, my Lord, enough indeed;
My strength is in Thy might, Thy might alone.
6mf I have no wisdom, save in Him who is

My wisdom and my teacher, bóth in one;
No wisdom can I lack while Thou art wise,
No teaching do I crave, save Thine alone.

7 Mine is the sin, (cres) but Thine the righteousness;
Mine is the guilt, (cres) but Thine the cleansing blood;
mf Here is my robe, my refuge, and my peace-
Thy blood, Thy righteousness, O Lord my God.

8mf But see, the pillar-cloud is rising now,

And moving onward through the désert-night;
It beckons, and I follow, for I know
cres It leads me to Thy heritage of light.

"I am the living bread which came down from heaven."

ImfJESUS, to Thy table led,
Now let every heart be fed
With the true and living bread.
2mf When we taste the mystic wine,
Of Thine outpoured blood the sign,
Fill our hearts with love divine.
3 While upon Thy cross we gaze,
Mourning o'er our sinful ways,
cres Turn our sadness into praise.

4

Draw us to Thy wounded side, cres Whence there flowed the healing tide; dim There our sins and sorrows hide. 5mf From the bonds of sin release;

Cold and wavering faith increase; Lamb of God, grant us Thy peace. 6mf Lead us by Thy pierced hand, cres Till around Thy throne we stand f In the bright and better land. Amen.
