And sow abroad the precious sccd

4 cres That thus the wilderness

Where'er life's river flows.
With fear and meekness, every task

5 mf For Thee our all to spend,
Of duty to fulfil :

Still may we watch and pray, mf At home, by word and deed,

And, persevering to the end,
Adorn redeeming grace;

'Go, work to day in My vineyard."

mf Who dares stand idle on the harvest plain,

While all around him waves the golden grain,
And to each servant does the Master say,

Go, work to-day?"

f Come, labour on!
mf Claim the high calling angels cannot share;

To young and old the Gospel-gladness bear :
Redeem the time ; (dim) its hours too swiftly fly;

The night draws nigh.
3 f Come, labour on!
mf Away with gloomy doubts and faithless fear!

No arm so weak but may do service here:
By feeblest agents can our God fulfil

His righteous will.
4 f Come, labour on !
mf No time for rest, till glows the western sky,

While the long shadows o'er our pathway lie,
cres And a glad sound comes with the setting sun-

fServants, well done!'
5 f Come, labour on!
mf The toil is pleasant, the reward is sure,

Blessèd are those who to the end endure ;
cres How full their joy, how deep their rest shall be,

P O Lord, with Thee ! Amen.

5 f Christ shall the banquet spread

With His own royal hand;
And raise that faithful servant's head

Amid the angelic band. Amen.
