367 "Always abounding in the work of the Lord.Imf"WORK, while it is to-day!”

And sow abroad the precious sccd
This was our Saviour's rule;

Of truth in every place.
With docile minds let us obey,

4 cres That thus the wilderness
As learners in His school.

May blossom like the rose,
Lord Christ, we humbly ask

And trees spring up of righteousness
Of Thee the power and will,

Where'er life's river flows.
With fear and meekness, every task

5 mf For Thee our all to spend,
Of duty to fulfil :

Still may we watch and pray, mf At home, by word and deed,

And, persevering to the end,
Adorn redeeming grace;

f"Work while it is to-day." Amen.

Who loved me, and gave Himself for me." P SAVIOUR! Thy dying love 3 mf Give me a faithful heartThou gavest me,

Likeness to Theespres Nor should I aught withhold,

That each departing day
My Lord, from Thee;

Henceforth may see mf In love my soul would bow,

Some work of love begun,
My heart fulfil its vow,

Some deed of kindness done,
Some offering bring Thee now, p Some wanderer sought and won,
Something for
Thee.

mf Something for Thee. ? P At the blest mercy-seat,

4 f All that I am and havePleading for me,

Thy gifts so free fres My feeble faith looks up,

In joy, in grief, through lifc,
Jesus, to Thee:

O Lord, for Thee ! mf Help me the cross to bear,

And when Thy face I see,
Thy wondrous love declare,

My ransomed soul shall be,
Some song to raise, or prayer-

Through all eternity,
Something for Thee.

Something for Thee. Amen.

'Go, work to day in My vineyard."

f COME, labour on!
mf Who dares stand idle on the harvest plain,

While all around him waves the golden grain,
And to each servant does the Master say,

Go, work to-day?"

f Come, labour on!
mf Claim the high calling angels cannot share;

To young and old the Gospel-gladness bear :
Redeem the time ; (dim) its hours too swiftly fly;

The night draws nigh.
3 f Come, labour on!
mf Away with gloomy doubts and faithless fear!

No arm so weak but may do service here:
By feeblest agents can our God fulfil

His righteous will.
4 f Come, labour on !
mf No time for rest, till glows the western sky,

While the long shadows o'er our pathway lie,
cres And a glad sound comes with the setting sun-

fServants, well done!'
5 f Come, labour on!
mf The toil is pleasant, the reward is sure,

Blessèd are those who to the end endure ;
cres How full their joy, how deep their rest shall be,

P O Lord, with Thee ! Amen.

372 " Blessed are those servants whom the Lord, when He cometh, shall find

watching.' I mf YE servants of the Lord,

3 mf Watch ! 'tis your Lord's commacd; Each in his office wait,

And, while we speak, He's near: Observant of His heavenly word mf Mark the first signal of His hand, p And watchful at His gate.

And ready all appear. 2 f Let all your lamps be bright, 4 cres Oh, happy servant he, And trim the golden flame;

In such a posture found ! Gird up your loins, as in His sight, He shall his Lord with rapture see, p For awful is His name.

And be with honour crowned.
5 f Christ shall the banquet spread

With His own royal hand;
And raise that faithful servant's head

Amid the angelic band. Amen.

"If we suffer, we shall also reign with Him." I mf OH, what, if we are Christ's, 3 mf Bright is their glory now, Is earthly shame or loss?

Boundless their joy above, Bright shall the crown of glory be, Where, on the bosom of their God, When we have borne the cross.

They rest in perfect love. 2 p Keen was the trial once,

4 mf Lord, may that grace be ours, Bitter the cup of woe, [blood, Like them in faith to bear When martyred saints, baptized in All that of sorrow, grief, or pain Christ's sufferings shared below. May be our portion here.

5 mf Enough, if Thou at last

The word of blessing give,
cres And let us rest beneath Thy feet,
Where saints and angels live. Amen.
