Are, Lord, for ever thine!
CXXXVI. Love of Chrift. C. M. our Redeemer's gorious name
TAwake the facred long!
O may his love (immortai ñame!) Tune ev'ry heart and tongue.
His love, what mortal thought can reach! What mortal tongue duplay! Imagination's utmoft stretch
In wonder dies away.
Let wonder still with love unite, And gratitude and joy: Jefus be our fupreme delight,
His praife our belt employ.
Jefus, who left his throne on high, Left the bright reams of bifs,
And came to earth to biced and die :- Was ever love like this!
Dear Lord, while we adoring pay
Our humble thanks to three,
Return, and let thy glories rife Again, to our admiring eyes:
'Till fill'd with light, and joy, and love, Thy courts below, like thofe above, Triumphant Hallelujahs raife,
'Till heav'n and earth refound thy praise.
thee we pray,
Finger of the living God,
Point us out the living way, Shed the Saviour's love abroad.
Take the things of Chrift, and fhew What his love for us hath done : Thus may we the Father know, Through his well-beloved Son. Lighten each benighted heart, Drive our enemies away; Joy and love, and peace impart, Lead us in the heav'nly way.

HARK, hark! the gospel-trumpet founds,
Pardon and peace by Jefu's blood,
Sinners are reconcil'd to God, And led into the heav'nly road, By grace divine!
Come, finners, hear the joyful news, Nor longer dare the grace refule; Mercy and juftice here combine, Goodness and truth harmonious jɔiņ, While boundless love, in ev`ry line, Tavites you near.
Ye faints in glory, ftrike the lyre Ye mortals, catch the facred fire: Let both the Saviour's love proclaim, And fpread abroad his matchiefs fame: For ever worthy is the Lamb Of endless praife.
CCVIII. Another. Pf. lxxxix 15. L. M. EHOVAH, from his throne above, Sends down fweet meflages of love; Thrice happy they, whole hearts are found Attentive to the joyful found.
Jefus proclaims falvation here, And brings eternal mercy near: Free grace doth now to all abound, Who know the gospel's joyful found. While we pass through this wilderness, Shine on us, Lord, with beams of grace: Still may thy light our steps furround, While we attend the joyful found.
CCIX. After Sermon. L. M. ADEN with guilt, finners arise,
And view your bleeding facrifice; Each purple drop proclaims there's room, And bids the poor and needy come. Beneath your crimes the victim stood; Sign'd your acquittances in blood: Hereby ftern juftice is appeas'd; Sinners, look up, and be releas'd.
Mercy, truth, peace, and righteousness Beam from the Reconciler's face; Here look, till love diffolve your heart, And bid your flavish fears depart.
O quit the world's delusive charms, And quickly fly to Jefu's arms; Wrestle until your God is known, Till you can call the Lord your own.
CCX. Another. Pfalm xix. P. M.
HOW precious, Lord, thy facred word! What light and joy thofe leaves afford To fouls in deep distress!
Thy precepts guide our doubtful way, Thy fear forbids our feet to ftray, Thy promife leads to reft.
Thy threat'nings wake our flumb'ring eyes, And warn us where our danger lies: But 'tis thy gofpel, Lord, That makes the guilty confcience clean; Converts the foul, and conquers fin, And gives a free reward.
CCXI. Another. As the 148th Pfalm.
our wants are known,
From thee are all our pow'rs;
Accept what is thine own,
And pardon what is ours:
Our praifes, Lord, and pray'rs receive,
And to thy word a blessing give.
O grant, that each of us, Now met before thee here, May meet together thus,
When thou and thine appear!
And follow thee to heav'n our home; E'en fo, amen, Lord Jefus, come!
