7. But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees come to his baptism, he said unto them, "O generation of vipers, who hath warned you
to flee from the 'wrath to come ? they (the Prophets] wear a rough garment to deceive. MAT. xi.8: But what went ye out for to see ? A man clothed in soft raiment? behold, they that wear soft clothing are in kings' houses. Mark, i. 6: John was clothed with camel's hair, and with a girdle of a skin about his loins ; and he did eat locusts and wild honey.
