BLUE: SYMBOL OF DEITY. Ex. 24:10; Jer. 10:9; Ezek. 1:26; 10:1. One of the predominating symbolical colors in the drapery and furnishings of the tabernacle and temple, and vestments of priests.

Ex. 25:3. And this is the offering which ye shall take of them; gold, and silver, and brass, 4. And blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine linen, and goats' hair,

Ex. 26:1. Moreover thou shalt make the tabernacle with ten curtains of fine twined linen, and blue, and purple, and scarlet: with cherubims of cunning work shalt thou make them.

These colors figured largely in the symbolismsof the tabernacle furnishings, and priestly vestments and functions, as types and shadows of the atonement.

Ex. 25:3. And this is the offering which ye shall take of them; gold, and silver, and brass, 4. And blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine linen, and goats hair, 5. And rams' skins dyed red, and badgers' skins, and shittim wood.

Heb. 9:19. For when Moses had spoken every precept to all the people according to the law, he took the blood of calves and of goats, with water, and scarlet wool, and hyssop, and sprinkled both the book, and all the

WHITE: SYMBOL OF HOLINESS. The highpriest's holy garments were of white linen, Lev. 16:4,32. Choir singers arrayed in white, 2 Chr. 5:12.
