This series is being prepared to meet a great want which has for some time existed in Sunday Schools. It will possess the following distinctive features:

1.-Part I. will consist of Old Testament Lessons for the ' morning, and New Testament Lessons for the afternoon. These will be arranged so as to commence and carry on through the series a continuous and complete Bible History, until the Bible is placed in the hands of the class.

2. The lessons will be GRADUATED, commencing with monosyllables, and advancing no more rapidly in difficulty than the pupils can follow insensibly, without turning the Sunday School Lessons into mere Reading Lessons. 3.-There will be questions at the end of each Lesson, and a Hymn, suited both in difficulty and wording to the different classes; and it is hoped the difficulty arising from junior and, in many cases, imperfectly educated teachers, will be thus reduced to a minimum.

4.-A long experience in Day and Sunday Schools as a Certificated Teacher has been made use of in compiling this series, and the best features of the many recent excellent Day School Reading Books have been imitated.

5. While the books will be issued in paper covers for the very poorest Sunday Schools, they will be bound in a strong and durable form, as being the cheapest in the end. 6. The questions have been so cast that the book can be used as a Home Book for the children to purchase themselves, and prepare their lessons during the week. The writer thinks this, for many reasons, an important feature, children prize their own books, and a school stock can supply the wants of the poorest.

7.-The type selected is bold and new, and the price stin leaves them the cheapest in the end yet in the market. 8.-The Lessons occupy just a quarter of 13 Sundays, so that they may form an exact quarter of the year.

9.-The books are suited for systematic Bible instruction in DAY SCHOOLS, according to STANDARDS.
