Of nothing think, or speak beside,
My Lord, my Love is crucify'd.

HYMN 29.

COME

8 lines 7's.

OME, ye weary sinners, come,
All who groan beneath your load;
Jesus calls his wanderers home;
Hasten to your pardoning God.
Come, ye guilty spirits oppress'd,
Answer to the Saviour's call,
"Come, and I will give you rest,
"Come, and I will save you all."

2 Jesus, full of truth and love,
We thy kindest word obey;
Faithful let thy mercies
prove:
Take our load of guilt away:
Fain we would on thee rely,
Cast on thee our every care:
To thine arms of mercy fly,
Find our lasting quiet there.
3 Burden'd with a world of grief,
Burden'd with our sinful load,
Burden'd with this unbelief;
Burden'd with the wrath of God:
Lo! we come to thee for ease,
True and gracious as thou art,..
Now our groaning souls release,
Write forgiveness on our heart.
HYMN 30.

1 WHERE shall my wond'ring sont

begin?

How shall I all to heaven aspire?
A slave redeem'd from death and sin,
A brand pluck'd from eternal fire;
How shall I equal triumphs raise,
Or sing my great Deliverer's praise!

2 O how shall I the goodness tell,

Father, which thou to me hast show'd? That I, a child of wrath and hell,

I should be call'd a child of God! Should know, should feel my sins forgiv❜n, Blest with this antepast of heaven! 3 And shall I slight my Father's love, Or basely fear his gifts to own? Unmindful of his favours prove? Shall I, the hallow'd cross to shun, Refuse his righteousness to' impart, By hiding it within my heart? 4 No: though the ancient dragon rage, And call forth all his host to war; Though earth's self-righteous sons engage, Them, and their god, alike I dare: Jesus, the sinner's Friend, proclaim; Jesus, to sinners still the same. 5 Outcasts of men, to you I call,

Harlots, and publicans, and thieves: He spreads his arms to embrace you all, Sinners alone, his grace receives : No need of him the righteous have; He came the lost to seek and save. 6 Come, O my guilty brethren, come, Groaning beneath your load of sin; His bleeding heart shall make you room His open side shall take you in: He calls you now, invites you homě, Come, O my guilty brethren, come. 7 For you the purple current flow'd

In pardons from his wounded side; Languish'd for you the Son of God; For you the Prince of Glory died : Believe, and all you sin's forgiven; Only believe, and yours is heaven L

1 EE, sinners, in the gospel-glass,

The Friend and Saviour of mankind! Not one of all the apostate race,

But may in him salvation find! His thoughts, and words, and actions prove, His life, and death,-that God is Love! 2 Behold the Lamb of God, who bears The sins of all the world away! A servant's form he meekly wears, He sojourns in a house of clay; His glory is no longer seen,

But God with God, is man with men. 3 See, where the God incarnate stands, And calls his wand'ring creatures home: He all day long spreads out his hands, Come, weary souls, to Jesus come! Ye all may hide you in his breast:-Believe, and he will give you rest. 4"Ah! do not of my goodness doubt,

66 My saving grace for all is free; "I will in no wise cast him out, "That comes a sinner unto me; "I can to none myself deny, "Why, sinners, wil ye perish, why ?"

HYMN 32.

INNERS, believe the gospel-word,
Jesus is come, your souls to save;
Jesus is come, your common Lord;
Pardon ye all through him may have,
May now be sav'd, whoever will:
This man receiveth sinners still.

I

2 See, where the lame, the halt, the blind, The deaf, the dumb, the sick, the poor.

Flock to the Friend of human kind,

And freely all accept their cure! To whom did he his help deny? Whom, in his days of flesh pass by? 3 Did not his word the fiends expel, The lepers cleanse, and raise the dead? Did he not all their sickness heal, And satisfy their every need? Did he reject his helpless clay? Or send them sorrowful away ? 4 Nay, but his bowels yearn'd to see The people hungry, scatter'd, faint: Nay, but he utter'd over thee,

Jerusalem, a true complaint: Jerusalem, who shed'st his blood, That, with his tears, for thee hath flow'd.

HYMN 33.

6 lines 8's.

WOULD Jesus have the sinner die?

W Why hangs he then on yonder tree?

What means that strange expiring cry? (Sinners, he prays for you and me ;) "Forgive them, Father, O forgive, They know not that by me they live!

2 Adam descended from above,

f

Our loss of Eden to retrieve: Great God of universal love,

If all the world through thee may live, In us a quick'ning Spirit be,

And witness thou hast died for me.

3 Thou loving, all-atoning Lamb,

Thee, by thy painful agony,

Thy bloody sweat, thy grief and shame, Thy cross and passion on the tree, Thy precious death, and life,-I pray, Take all, take all my sins away!

4 O let me kiss thy bleeding feet,

And bathe and wash them with my tears; The story of thy love repeat

In every drooping sinner's ears! That ALL may hear the quick'ning sound ; Since I, even I, have mercy found!

50 let thy love my heart constrain, Thy love for ever sinner free, That every fallen son of man

May taste the grace that found out me ; That all mankind with me may prove, Thy sovereign, everlasting love.

HYMN 34.

4 lines 6's & 2-8's.

ET earth and heaven agree,
Angels and men be join'd,

To celebrate with me,

The Saviour of mankind;

To' adore the all-atoning Lamb,

And bless the sound of Jesu's Name.

2 Jesus, transporting sound!

The joy of earth and heaven;

No other help is found;

No other name is given,

By which we can salvation have;
But Jesus came the world to save.

3 Jesus, harmonious Name!

It charms the hosts above;
They evermore proclaim,

And wonder at his love;
'Tis all their happiness to gaze,

'Tis heaven to see our Jesu's face.

4 His name the sinner hears,

And is from sin set free:
