CHAP. XV.

The Israelites murmur.

18 And when they did mete it with an omer, he that gathered much had nothing over, and he that gathered little had no lack: they gathered every man according to his eating. 19 And Moses said, Let no man leave of it till the morning.

20 Notwithstanding, they hearkened not unto Moses; but some of them left of it until the morning, and it bred worms, and stank : and Moses was wroth with them.

21 And they gathered it every morning, every waxed hot it melted.

11 And it came to pass, when Moses held up his hand, that Israel prevailed: and when he let down his hand, Amalek prevailed.

Moses sat to judge the people: and the people stood

14 And when Moses' father-in-law saw all that
he did to the people, he said, What is this thing
that thou doest to the people? Why sittest thou
thyself alone, and all the people stand by the

18 Thou wilt surely wear away, both thou, and
this people that is with thee: for this thing is
too heavy for thee; thou art not able to perform
it thyself alone.

12 But Moses' hands were heavy; and they took a stone, and put it under him, and he sat there- 19 Hearken now unto my voice, I will give thee on: and Aaron and Hur stayed up his hands, the counsel, and God shall be with thee: Be thou for one on the one side, and the other on the other the people to God-ward, that thou mayest bring side; and his hands were steady until the going the causes unto God: down of the sun.

13 There shall not a hand touch it, but he shall surely be stoned or shot through: whether it be beast or man, it shall not live: when the trumpet soundeth long, they shall come up to the mount. 14 And Moses went down from the mount unto the people, and sanctified the people; and they washed their clothes.

11 For in six days the LORD made heaven and carth, the sea and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath-day, and hallowed it.

12 Honour thy father and thy mother; that thy days may be long upon the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee.

13 Thou shalt not kill.

14 Thou shalt not commit adultery.
15 Thou shalt not steal.

16 Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour.

20 And Moses said unto the people, Fear not: for God is come to prove you, and that his fear may be before your faces, that ye sin not, 21 And the people stood afar off, and Moses drew near unto the thick darkness where God was. 22 And the LORD said unto Moses, Thus thou Ishalt say unto the children of Israel; Ye have

Laws for servants, &c.

OW these are the judgments which thou shalt set before them.

2 If thou buy a Hebrew servant, six years he shall serve: and in the seventh he shall go out free for nothing.

3 If he came in by himself, he shall go out by himself: if he were married, then his wife shall go out with him.

4 If his master have given him a wife, and she have borne him sons or daughters, the wife and her children shall be her master's, and he shall go out by himself.

28 If an ox gore a man or a woman, that they die: then the ox shall be surely stoned, and his flesh shall not be eaten; but the owner of the ox shall be quit.

29 But if the ox were wont to push with his horn in time past, and it hath been testified to his owner, and he hath not kept him in, but that he hath killed a man or a woman; the ox shall be stoned, and his owner also shall be put to death. 30 If there be laid on him a sum of money, then he shall give for the ransom of his life whatsoever is laid upon him.

31 Whether he have gored a son, or have gored a daughter, according to this judgment shall is be done unto him.

34 The owner of the pit shall make it good, and give money unto the owner of them; and the dead beast shall be his.
