HYMN CXCIX. P. M.

Praise to God.

I

O PRAISE ye the LORD; prepare a new

song,

And let all his saints in full concert join ; With voices united the anthem prolong, And show forth his honours in music divine.

II

;

Let praise to the God who made us ascend Let each grateful heart exult in its king; For God whom we worship our songs will at

tend; And view with complacence the off'ring we

bring.

III

Be joyful, ye saints, sustain'd by his might, And let your glad songs awake with each

morn;

For those who obey him are still his delight; His hand with salvation the meek will adorn.

IV

Then praise ye the LORD; prepare a glad song,

And let all his saints in full concert join ;
With voices united the anthem prolong,
And show forth his honours in music divine.

HYMN CC. P. M.

Mo

Resurrection of Christ.

I

ORNING breaks upon the tomb ;
Jesus dissipates its gloom;

Day of triumph through the skies,
See the glorious Saviour rise!

II

Christians, dry your flowing tears;
Chase those unbelieving fears;
Look on his deserted grave;
Doubt no more his pow'r to save.

III

Ye who are of death afraid,
Triumph in the scatter'd shade;
Drive your anxious fears away;
See the place where Jesus lay.

IV

So the rising sun appears,
Shedding radiance o'er the spheres ;
So returning beams of light
Chase the terrors of the night.

Greatest of beings, source of life
Great first of beings! mighty LORD
Great framer of unnumber'd worlds
Great God! how endless is thy love
Great God! how infinite art thou
Great God! how vast is thine abode
Great God! how wondrous are thy ways
Great God! if nature weak and frail
Great God! our joyful thanks to thee

Great God! the heav'n's well-order'd frame

Great God! thine attributes divine
Great God! to thee my ev'ning song

Great God! to thee our grateful tongues
Great God! we sing that mighty hand
Great God! we sing thy praise

Great LORD of earth, and seas, and skies

Great ruler of all nature's frame
Great ruler of the earth and skies
Great source of life! our souls confess

Hail, king supreme! all wise and good
Happy the meek, whose gentle breast
Hark! the glad sound, the Saviour comes
Hear what the voice from heav'n proclaims
