are in danger or want, in prison, or condemned to death. Those that love and do good to me, reward sevenfold into their bosom: those who hate me without a cause, convert and forgive; and grant us all so to pass through things temporal, that we finally lose not the things eternal, through Jesus Christ our blessed Saviour. Amen.

The Blessing.

THE Blessing of the Holy and Undivided Trinity

be with me now and ever. Amen.

On lying down to sleep say,

HE that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep. He giveth His beloved sleep. When they lie down they shall not be afraid; yea, they shall lie down and their sleep shall be sweet. Ejaculations. At midnight.

THOU, Lord, hast granted Thy loving-kindness in the day time, and in the night season will I sing of Thee, and make my prayer unto the God of my life.

O Lord, the Holy Angels are now before Thy throne in heaven; they never rest day nor night from Thy praises; and with them do I now say, Alleluia! salvation, and honour, and glory, and power be unto our God, for ever and ever. Amen. When we enter into the Church.

I. LORD, I have loved the habitation of Thine house, and the place where Thine ho

nour dwelleth.

II. I will wash mine hands in innocency, O Lord and so will I go to Thine Altar.

:

When we kneel in our places in Church.

I. THOU art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for Thou hast created all things, and for Thy pleasure they are, and were created.

II. Blessing, and glory, and wisdom, and thanks, and honour, and power, and might, be unto our God for evermore. Amen.

On going forth from your house.

LORD, bless my going out and coming in, from

this time forth and for evermore.

After committing sin.

LORD, be merciful to me a miserable sinner, and for the merits of my Saviour, lay not this sin to my charge.

After any Blessing or Deliverance.

GLORY be to Thee, O Lord, for this blessing [or, for this deliverance].

Praise the Lord, O my soul, and all that is within me, praise His holy Name.

At giving Alms.

LORD, who didst not despise the widow's mite, accept of this little I now give, to relieve one of Thy poor Members!

After having done any good.

NOT unto me, O Lord, not unto me, but unto Thy Name be the praise.

In Temptation.

ORD, succour me with Thy grace, that I may overcome this temptation.

Anima Chrístí.

Soul of Christ, sanctify me!
Body of Christ, save me!
Blood of Christ, refresh me!
Water from the side of Christ, wash me!
Passion of Christ, strengthen me!
O Good Jesu, hear me !
Within Thy Wounds hide me!
Suffer me not to be separated from Thee!
From the malicious Enemy defend me!
In the hour of my death, call me!
And bid me come to Thee,
That with Thy saints I may praise Thee,
for ever and ever. Amen.

A Prayer.

BE, Lord, within me, to strengthen me; with

out me, to guard me; over me, to shelter me; beneath me, to stablish me; before me, to guide me; after me, to forward me; round about me, to secure me.

ΑΙ

LMIGHTY and Everlasting God, I, Thy suppliant, beseech Thee that Thou wouldest make me so firmly and faithfully to believe, so truthfully and simply to confess the Holy Trinity in this world, that in the life to come I may be enabled perfectly to know, and with all joy face to face to behold the Same, who livest and reignest God, world without end.
