GLORY TO THE LAMB. 1 COME, let us join our cheerful songs Ten thousand thousand are their tongues, 2" Worthy the Lamb that died," they cry, “To be exalted thus;" 66 Worthy the Lamb," our lips reply, 3 Jesus is worthy to receive Honour and power divine; And blessing, more than we can give, 4 Let all that dwell above the sky, 5 The whole creation join in one, Of Him that sits upon the throne, THE SONG OF FAITH. 1 GUIDE us, O thou great Jehovah, Pilgrims through this barren land; We are weak, but Thou art mighty, Hold us with Thy powerful hand: Bread of heaven, Feed us till we want no more. 2 Open Thou the crystal fountain Lead us all our journey through; Be Thou still our strength and shield. 3 When we tread the verge of Jordan, Bid our anxious fears subside: Through the dark and swelling waters, Bear us safe to Canaan's side; PRAYER FOR FAITH. 1 FATHER, whate'er of earthly bliss Accepted at Thy throne of grace, D 2 Give me a calm, a thankful heart, The blessings of Thy grace impart, 3 Let the sweet hope that Thou art mine My life and death attend, Thy presence through my journey shine, THE JUDGMENT DAY. 1 THE Lord will come, the earth shall quake, 2 The Lord will come, but not the same The bruised, the suff'ring, and the dead. 3 The Lord will come, a dreadful form, 4 Can this be He who wont to stray 5 Go, sinners, to the rocks complain, THANKSGIVING FOR MERCIES. 1 WHENE'ER I take my walks abroad, 2 Not more than others I deserve, 3 While some poor children scarce can tell Where they may lay their head, I have a home wherein to dwell, And rest upon my bed. 4 While others early learn to swear, Lord, I am taught Thy name to fear, 5 Are these Thy favours, day by day, Then let me love Thee more than they, PRAISE THE LORD. 1 FROM all that dwell below the skies, Thy praise shall sound from shore to shore, YOUNG DISCIPLES. 1 LORD, a little band and lowly, 2 Fill our hearts with thoughts of Jesus, And of heaven where He is gone; And let nothing ever please us 3 For we know the Lord of glory Of our thoughts and actions too. 4 Let our sins be all forgiven; Make us fear whate'er is wrong; There to sing a nobler song. |
